  1. Review titled Unacceptably bad

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024

I have lived in Wraysbury over 30 years, we used to have a local GP who sadly passed away and we all got moved over to Datchet HC. Datchet HC has never been able to cope with the numbers and was bad before but somehow managed to deteriorate even further into a useless heap of a building. Where to start... Receptionists are rude and give their opinion on how you should live or be treated, despite not being in any way qualified or unbias. You will always see a different GP, I don't even know who my GP is nowadays. They perscribe things that aren't in stock in any of the local pharmacies, they send you letters weeks after needing the appointment telling you to come in and then when you ring them about it, they have no idea what it's about. Honestly, 2 blind dogs could organise a surgery better than the people there. I've had texts saying I have kidney failure and i urgently need to go to hospital only to be told that they must have left my blood sample out in the sun, my then pregnant wife was told 6 months into her pregnancy that they will now see her to see if she's pregnant or not. I've had doctors sending me for x-ray to wexham and then being told i shouldn't have been sent. There is no end to how bad this surgery is. if you want an appointment you have to constantly redial their number at least 20 times on the dot of 0830 (when they open) and then you're 14th in the queue... by the time you get through, they don't have anymore appointments that day and you have to call again. Genuinely... if you can go to another surgery do. Every time you ring or speak to them it will be a confusing pain. I am surprised at how much they can mess things up here, I would put money on them being one of the worst surgeries in the country. And the best this is no one will read this review, nothing will happen and it'll still be someone elses fault.

  2. Review titled Disappointing service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Impossible to get through the lines and book an appointment. Online booking not available. Call is very restrictive on hours and must be 8.30am only, very difficult for teachers or anyone with a normal job. They only book for the day (usually no appointments left) or for exactly 2 weeks later. No ability to book for any other date. No empathy at reception and nobody seems to care or willing to help. Struggled to book appointment even though they texted me to do so

  3. Review titled Only one doctors in our catchment area

Rated 1 star out of 5

The receptionist seems to hold too much power at this place. We got given the wrong advice by the receptionist and told to go to the hospital which I did and then when I got to the hospital they said to go back to the doctors. Also, it's difficult to get repeat prescriptions through the receptionist even though I had run out of blood pressure tablets I'm sure it's like any other doctors, but it's also hard to get a physical appointment with the doctor, sometimes have to wait for weeks or just told nothing is available call again in the morning. I wish we had more choice of doctors but this is the only one available in our catchment area.

  4. Review titled Just bad

Rated 1 star out of 5

I got registered with this surgery few weeks ago despite reading all the negative feedback as it's the closest surgery, to start with they got my surname wrong, even though I provided proof of Identity and proof of address, somehow still go it wrong so not a great start but still I tried to stay positive thought just an admin error, I called today to book tph medical test however the receptionist wasn't helpful at all, usually the test it's booked within a week, she said first that I need to give them some time as person who usually does the test is off until end of January, again their staff shortage not my problem. I had to ask how long is this "some time" a week, two weeks or what? she said 3-4 weeks. Then I asked if I book it with a private surgery they require my medical history from my GP, I asked how long would it take for you to provide them my medical history and her answer was "I don't know". so unhelpful. How shall I ask then ? they are supposed to be my GP. I am unemployed I need to get the test done as soon as possible to get back in the employed, however did not get anywhere with them. Very frustrating.

  5. Review titled Datchet Health Centre - Great Service

by Gillian Bush - Posted on 08 December 2022

I got great service this week from DatchetHealthCentre. I did an application for an online consultation with my GP. After reviewing my submission they asked me to come in for a face to face the next day. Got seen to by a nurse practitioner who prescribed antibiotics. Very professional, and I was handled with care and compassion.

  6. Review titled Very kind and helpful staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Margaret Green - Posted on 07 November 2022

We went to the surgery to ask if it was possible to have a cannula removed from my partner's arm which A&E had put in 3 days before to facilitate an x-ray. The receptionist was extremely helpful and a nurse removed it for him after a very short wait. Thank you to all involved.

  7. Review titled Poor service by the member at front office

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Nita - Posted on 09 May 2022

To be told in an non emphatic manner, it’s average to wait for 10 minutes for a call. Then to be told to make a phone call the follow morning to contact the GP or book an appointment, shows how ineffective the system is I have been told to turn up at the surgery, without an appointment to see the GP. Is this correct or would I experience another disappointment and be told to book an appointment. There needs to a better system in place
