First of all, I would like to thank the reception team for being consistently helpful, friendly and patient, both face to face and on the phone. There is always a queue because it is a busy practice and I imagine it must be quite a challenge when they are dealing with one patient after another without a break. Having lived in different towns over the years, the team is head and shoulders above those at other surgeries I’ve been registered with. The GP I saw today was interested, patient and informative. He took time to explain my condition and ensure I understood. The consultation never felt rushed and was reassuringly thorough. While there is rather a long wait for routine appointments, if you need to be seen urgently it is possible to get a same day appointment. I highly recommend the Wroughton surgery.

Having been a patient at this practice for over 60 years, I am very disappointed with the present situation; I am not able to contact them by 'phone (always in a queue) so decided to pop into Chiseldon surgery to make an appointment, only to be told '' we don't take appointment bookings here anymore''! Time for a change I think.

After trying to ring the practice for appointment and being told you are 7 in a queue after 8min you are still 7th say no more. I expect a long wait early morning this was 2pm so disappointing I do hope things improve.

Since registering with the practice earlier this year I have found the level of service to be very poor indeed; lost samples, no proactive engagement with issues, and administrative disorganisation have all unfortunately been present. I have lost count of the number of phone calls and surgery visits made in an effort to obtain a reasonable level of service; these result in promises of escalation and of issues being flagged as urgent for the practice manager, only for a further enquiry a few days later to reveal no action has been taken. Cue more statements on urgent response, with the same result again. Then repeat the experience over and over. Frustrating, annoying and adds to issues, rather than resolves them. I’m looking to move to another practice as soon as possible; I can’t recommend this one to anybody unfortunately.

It was always difficult to get a doctor's appointment at this surgery and after covid it is now impossible. I have been off work for 6 weeks and whilst I can get ab appointment it would be in 6 weeks time. God willing I will be well again by then anyway. I guess I'll just have to tough it out for now.
