  1. Review titled Poor, still poor.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Impossible to get through to on the phone. Made to jump through Anima hoops after they admit e-consult wasn't fit for purpose. This is still the case. No clear timings for when anyone will get back to. Just depends how important they perceive it to be.

  2. Review titled Poor experience as always.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Since the closure of Harefield Surgery and the lack of any human involvement or communication, I feel more and more vulnerable and isolated. E consult is not fit for purpose at best- not least as it is always closed and you cannot complete one outside working hours- but is isolating and cumbersome at best. I think it is time to find a new Doctor's practice. I wish the Livingwell Partnership had left well alone..

  3. Review titled Great service

I had a routine gp appointment at St Luke's Surgery for a mole change that was worrying me. The GP I saw was wonderful and reassuring and even hugged me when I told her how worried I was. I've never had any issues with Living Well Partnership

  4. Review titled Poor practice used to be with ladies walk practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Les - Posted on 03 January 2024

Ladies walk practice was excellent but since it became living well partnership it is poorly managed doctors get a Wednesday afternoon off for a meeting every month,Midanbury practice was closed without consultation with its patients, people are sent all over the city for consultation usually with a nurse but try to get a call back from a doctor or see a doctor it’s almost impossible, once phoned up with a health issue three times and over 5 days before I got a phone call I would even say this surgery really is not for purpose and as for e-consult or anima this is just a farce, how can a doctor tell what’s a matter with you over a phone. There’s a couple of layer to go through before you can see your doctor

  5. Review titled Negligent surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

Recently moved to this surgery, previous GP advised I required a smear test which I was unable to go ahead with due to moving house and changing address. Despite making this clear to this surgery and explaining my symptoms they're refusing to go ahead with this due to their policy which requires me to wait until next year. Refusing a smear test when I have serious symptoms and risking my health due to a policy is not good enough.

  6. Review titled Terrible practice, unsympathetic doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery is a joke. Everything has to be done by E-consult which is closed evenings and weekends. Most E-consults are answered via a text message. Half the time I have to do another E-consult because they haven't actually read the first E-consult properly. The repkys from doctors are usually abrupt and rude. I've had ongoing issues for 3 years and keep trying to seek help only to be palmed off. They refused to see my son because he had a temperature, because this his condition got worse and he was admitted to hospital for an operation. They waited four days to text my husband back on an E-consult stating he struggling mentally and was scared he was going to hurt himself, he didn't even get a phone call. They refuse to see most patients, and even the hospital are getting fed up with them because most their patients are bypassing the doctors surgery and going straight to the hospital. I dread having to get in contact with this practice, my chest actually starts tightening and I get anxiety. This surgery needs to be looked into and a shake up done.

  7. Review titled The importance of face to face appointments

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anne Hart - Posted on 23 March 2023

This is what happened after I was diagnosed and treated by telephone. I think you will agree, given my age – 78, and symptoms I should have seen a doctor, had my chest sounded and sent for a chest xray. Because that didn’t happen my suffering continued for another 11 days. Nasty chest infection on 18 Feb. the infection got steadily worse causing me to stay in bed for 8 days. Hacking cough, racing heart rate, low sats (we have an oximeter) sweating and shivering. On 2 Mar my condition was getting worse so I submitted an econsult. A doctor called back at home on 8 Mar and prescribed antibiotics which I started on the 9 Mar. At the end of the course of antibiotics on 16 Mar I felt marginally better but on Friday/Sat 17/18 Mar I was getting worse again. On Sunday 19 Mar I was poorly and so called 111 The doctor immediately arranged for me to be admitted to the Acute Medical Unit Southampton hospital and was diagnosed with pneumonia and lactic acidosis. – after chest xray and ct scan. I was drip fed for both conditions and discharged Tue evening 21 Mar and sent me home with more antibiotics.

  8. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

Everything done remotely ie email / text / econsult . I am sure this has made life easier for the doctors but it’s horrible for the patients. Very impersonal and uncaring. Can’t even get repeat prescriptions right , and no-one seems to care

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. Living Well Partnership constantly reviews patient feedback, looking at common themes and trends to aid improvements to services. We recognised that eConsult was not suitable for our patients or staff alike, therefore, after much research I am pleased to say that in November 2023, we made changes to our access by introducing the Anima Patient Request Service. This system asks patients fewer questions, with less repetition, and provides real time updates to the progress of requests. I can confirm that Harefield Surgery remains open on Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition, our other nearby sites, such as, Ladies Walk Surgery (3 minute drive from Harefield Surgery) and Bitterne Park Surgery and West End Surgery (both a 6 minute drive from Harefield Surgery) are open Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00. We are also available by telephone or by submitting an Anima Patient Request and Face-to-Face appointments can be requested. I hope this helps. Kind Regards Patient Experience Manager Living Well Partnership

I did an engine consult yesterday and was called by reception today to attend an appointment with a GP. Very courteous reception and GP was very nice. He explained things clearly and was professional and listened to my concern. I have been referred quickly. All round a quick, courteous and professional service.
