Review titled Left feeling depressed and disappointed
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 April 2024
I was seen by a rhumatology consultant last year who told me after the tests and mri scans I had fibromyalgia, over the course of several visits to the surgery with various joint pains , I'm sent away being told fibromyalgia isn't actually a condition, what would I like the GP to do , no different medication as what I am on is very strong regardless of the pain I'm in . I now feel like what is the point in asking for medical help , as I'm dismissed and made to feel like a hypochondriac and wasting their time overall they are just not interested. How do I change to a different surgery???

Dear Patient, I'm sorry that your recent contact with one of our GPs was not satisfactory, and for the frustration and upset that this has caused. Your feedback will be discussed at our next partners meeting. In the meantime, if you would like to discuss this matter directly with the surgery please send an email for the attention of the GP Partners to: hiowicb-hsi-nfcmg-enquiries@nhs.net Practice Administrator

Review titled Poor bedside manner

Was feeling very poorly and worried about an infection before Christmas, was pretty much dismissed with a dismal gp attitude, I would certainly attempt to avoid seeing this person in the future. Trying to get through on the telephone is also difficult, waiting in a queue to eventually be be told you are 1st, the phone will ring continuously eventually going dead. I raised this issue last year with the surgery to be told it is being dealt with, it never has been.

Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear that your recent experience with one of our GPs was not satisfactory. All feedback from patients will be reviewed by our Practice Manager and discussed with our GP Partners. We are sure all our patients appreciate that our workload is heavier than usual this winter, and this will increase wait times on our phones. However, we will raise the issue of patients being cut off again with our system supplier. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Practice Administrator.

Review titled Ignoring of Request/ Poor Communication

An important email I sent has not been acknowledged for nearly two weeks ( a follow up was sent after one week). I was wrongly diagnosed with a condition and placed on steroids which caused considerable side effects. As a result I decided to go private as in lots of pain but due to the GP surgery not replying or completing a form had to cancel this appointment. Very disappointed as just trying to get myself better. It seems the administration of the surgery group is not functioning correctly.
