    Dear Practice Manager, I write to complain about the length of time it has taken for a repeat prescription to reach the chemist. On the 28 February 2024, I submitted an online request but it only arrived at the chemist on the 4th March! The pharmacist explained that this delay was now happening quite frequently. Please could you explain why the usual high standards of communication have suddenly dropped? Yours sincerely, Kathryn Bettison.

    Dear Kathryn Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry that you feel there was a delay in your prescription being issued to the chemist. We ask patients to allow 3 working days (Monday - Friday) for a prescription to be signed off by a GP. You submitted a request on Wednesday 28th February at 2.26pm & this was signed off by your GP on Monday 4th March at 11.22am. This means that it reached the pharmacy within 3 working days. I hope that this gives you the reassurance that we are keeping within the timeframe that we have always tried to adhere to.

    Awesome surgery so efficient and helpful. The best surgery I have had the pleasure to visit. Staff are brilliant you couldn’t ask for any better.

    Have been with Hartley Surgery for over 40 years and was delighted to be accepted as an out of area patient (I am only 8 miles away) as I have always been happy with the overall service there. Only complaint would be the time to get an appointment but mine wasn't urgent so no real problem! So disappointed to have received a letter today telling me I have just 28 days to find another surgery as they can no longer keep out of area patients. I have been with this surgery all my life and really do not want to change. Maybe you could look at the patience history with the practise and make a decision on an individual basis rather than making a general decision. I also feel that 28 days to find an alternative is not a reasonable length of time. Left feeling pushed aside and so disappointed.
