I have been with this practice for almost 40 years and have always thought very highly of it. Recently it has suffered from the lack of availability of appointments with a GP as in many other practices. Mostly I have been able to get a satisfactory outcome albeit with a short delay. It does seem that the surgery is now unable or unwilling to provide appointments for something that would have been routinely dealt with by one of the doctors 30 years ago. I have a skin tag on my breast that has become very large, inflamed, painful and bleeding and the receptionist said that they don’t do skin tags and I should go to a pharmacist. They wouldn’t give me an appointment. Whilst I believe it to be a skin tag it would only take a doctor a minute to determine what it really is and for them to determine the treatment and who could best do it. I thought that was what GPS were for. I am really disappointed.

If it is for us we would have advised you to use our online econsult system, and we do also provide routine and same day access appointments so can only presume this was meant for a different GP surgery.

I needed to visit with my husband and we saw a paramedic who was working at the practise that day never seen this before but he was friendly thorough knowledgeable and really really good he saw problems and got my husband the help he needed quickly without causing us to panic what a great service to have we felt really cared for

Hello mate I came and was treated excellently. The reception team were very friendly and I even had a text on the morning from the reception team to remind me of my appointment (glad they texted me as I forgot as usual hahaha) all in all a very positive experience and the doctor dealing with me was lovely aswell. Despite the struggling pressure on the surgery they are working hard to support patients and it shows. Thank you :)

It has been necessary for me to seek medical attention a few times over the past few months and on each occasion, I have been so impressed with the professionalism and care provided. I can but imagine the pressure of work for the GPs but they are excellent and so personable. Being a GP must be a relentless job in the current climate but I wanted to acknowledge and thank the wonderful team at this surgery. I have also visited the surgery for an asthma review and blood test during the past year and was met with the same level of professionalism and care from the nursing team. The reception staff are also polite, professional, and efficient. A big thank you to all at Gudgeheath Lane Surgery - I really do feel blessed to be under your care; your professionalism and decication really is appreciated
