    Not the first time this has happened to me, and also happened to my friend last week. I did the usual e-consult, eventually when it works, waited up until 6.30pm on Monday 15th January and did not receive my telephone call. Waited in all day for this call. E-consults, telephone triage before being able to book an appointment just simply does not work and is very impersonal for patients. Why you cannot simply go back to booking appointments I just cannot understand, like other practices in the area.

    We are disappointed that you have felt dissatisfied with the service provided. All e-consults are dealt with promptly when they come into the Practice and patients receive an automated response from the e-consult service. This states that you will be contacted by 6.30pm the following day and that this may be by phone, text or email and so it is important to keep a check on your emails. This response will let you know the plan of action once the e-consult has been triaged by the appropriate person. It is a shame in this instance that the feedback is anonymous as we would have liked the opportunity to contact you to discuss this further. Your comments have been fed back to the appropriate members of the team. Patients do not have to use the e-consult service, the reception team are always on hand and happy to help. K.     My partner and I are very grateful to be registered with our GP and Emsworth Surgery and wanted to say a big well done and thank you. These are times of enormous pressure on services and this impacts heavily on the frontline staff so we feel it's really important to give praise where due. It's true the service is being delivered in a different way to previously, but what we really appreciate is that using the econsult system as a way of entry we are always kept in the loop of when a problem will be dealt with and then that is followed through efficiently. When my partner had a more urgent problem a few months ago a phone call and a same day appointment was arranged with another clinician. We are aware that the access provided is much better than friends and family have experienced elsewhere. Finally we appreciate the wisdom and efficiency of our registered GP and also his enhanced skills around dermatology. He was also very kind to me today. Thank you and please look after yourselves too.

    I was very ill and received immediate and exceptional treatment at home which probably saved my life. The Dr spoke with the ambulance people so the hospital was prepared. It was fantastic. Thank you

    Since I joined this practice as a patient in 2009, I've had always excellent care from Emsworth Surgery. Despite the NHS being under tremendous pressure in the ongoing pandemic, this has not changed over the last 2 years when, unfortunately, I have needed their services more often. The e-consult system is efficient (& preferable to long waits in a crowded waiting room), the receptionists and nurses have always been patient, helpful and kind, and the GPs thorough. 3 days before Christmas I had post-covid breathing difficulties. The receptionist I spoke to took the time to listen and respond appropriately: within 10 mins a GP had telephoned, and she offered an appointment an hour later. I picked up my medication from the local pharmacy the next day. This is excellent primary care at a time of huge demand - and much appreciated.
