    I visited on the 12th for a routine smear test which can sometimes be a daunting appointment. I was met by a very cheerful and reassuring nurse I was instantly relaxed and the procedure the most comfortable one I have ever experienced. Whilst waiting for my appointment I noticed how welcoming and warm the receptionist was to every patient giving each the time they needed. Difficult times within the NHS but for my recent trips I have received excellent care from my surgery and this is very reassuring .

    After a 30 minute hold to be answered by a person that was rude , explained why I needed to see a doctor got told to go to pharmacy, I did , for the pharmacist to tell me to go back to doctor or A&E as they do not dio and prescribe, called doctors again told them this for the woman to argue with me, and offer me an appointment for two weeks time. Absolutely furious and disgusted, being refused an appointment to see my doctor because it didn’t sound urgent , by a person that answers phone calls and is not a doctor themselves , if your that understaffed close the practice

    Dear Patient, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. I sincerely apologise for the unsatisfactory experience you had whilst attempting to book an appointment with your doctor. The extended wait period on the telephones was following the Easter Bank Holiday which led to a surge in contact to the surgery, causing delays in our response times. I am truly disappointed to learn that you felt our receptionist was rude. This is not in line with our standards of patient care. Our receptionists are instructed by our GPs to handle calls courteously while triaging them to assist our patients with various avenues of support, such as visiting the pharmacy. However, there are situations where matters need to be referred back to the GP. I apologise if you felt you were refused an appointment to see a doctor as your request was deemed not urgent. Please can i ask that to address your concerns and ensure you receive the appropriate care, can you contact the practice at whccg.Arnewoodpractice@nhs.net, providing your name and contact details as I would like to resolve your complaint promptly and thoroughly investigate this issue.     My children each had an appointment with the same dr and he was amazing. He spoke to them as people rather than speaking about them as if they weren't there. My older child was very shy to start with and the dr was playful and really brought him out of his shell. My child said he really liked the dr

    I was pleased to have very good service at the reception desk of The Arnewood Practice. The receptionist was very quick to identify just how stressed I was and was able to organise a second telephone consultation for an elderly member of my family who needed an urgent alteration to a prescription. We have had excellent service from this surgery over what has been a very difficult 2 years.

    Really lucky to have such a great practice(Barton).Have given excellent support over last few years with ongoing problems I have had,and always very helpful.Even last afternoon before closing for the Festive Season!! Thank you!!!

    I received a text message asking me to book a blood test at the practice, which I booked. When I arrived the HCA taking my test asked what I needed and said no request had been received from the GP so they could only test for the same things as last year. The results on the NHS app showed six out of the seven tests were abnormal with one result recommending a referral to a specific service. Despite the results I heard nothing from the practice and no referral was made. It's bad enough that patients are asked to attend blood tests with GPs making no effort to confirm what is required, that's a clerical error. To have tests that come back as "abnormal" with a recommended referral that isn't followed up by the practice is unforgiveable.

    I have been very impressed by the service Coastal Medical in Spencer Road, New Milton, have given my parents and my husband recently. Sadly, my dad passed away in May 2022 but he received so much help and care from this surgery; this has now been continued with my mother, who is 95 and in a Care Home. She has various medical issues which worry her, but the surgery have been very thorough in trying to help her, carrying out various tests and prescribing medication. They have visited her recently in the Home and been extremely kind and helpful. My husband has also received great service, having found that he has ischemic heart disease which runs in his family. He has received a great deal of assistance, having been prescribed medication and sent for quite a few tests/to see consultants. His medication is constantly reviewed to ensure the best results. I have been quick to moan that I can no longer get an over-60 health check unless I have underlying issues; however, I can weigh myself and do my own blood pressure, and when I requested a cholesterol check, the blood test was carried out very quickly. (My cholesterol is perfect). We have also been called for our flu/Covid injections regularly. We are all very pleased with the service we get from the surgery in Spencer Road.

    I raised a health problem via econsult in the afternoon of 2nd November; I received a call from the Doctor the following morning requesting a sample which I gave early afternoon on the 3rd November. I then received a call that afternoon to discuss symptoms and treatment leading to a prescription which I filed at the local pharmacy that day. Pleased to say the treatment was successful and the service I received from the Surgery team was exceptional and impressive.

    I always find the team at New Milton to be helpful, informed and efficient. They make you feel comfortable and I have always received a great service. I have not required an urgent appointment but for blood tests and diabetic checks amazing.

    I booked an appointment after being on hold for 30 minutes and in a queue, the closest appointment was two weeks, not even with my doctor. I go to the doctors on the day, the queue was going out the door, and apparently there was no appointment ever booked. I just tried to phone again a week later. The phone was ringing for 20 minutes, after they finally pick up, they tell me that the computers are broken and that I have to phone back. I asked when, and they hung up on me. I have been going here ever since I was born, and it has been this bad since the beginning of the pandemic. The NHS needs to be funded more so they can hire more staff and doctors.
