  1. Review titled Extremely unhelpful staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

The staff is extremely unhelpful and rude. Simple requests (such as for a prescription to be updated according to a letter from a specialist NHS doctor) are met with rudeness and irrelevant questions (“why has your dosage changed?”). Referral letters from the GPs have been lost and the staff is unable to help (letting you know only you need to book another consultation in order to get the referral that the first GP had already given you). Everything is over complicated and inefficient.

Seen promptly by the excellent nursing team for routine tests and vaccinations. Never a problem to get an appointment.

  3. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’ve been registered 2.5 years and never been able to get a GP appointment (tried 3 times). Always had to go down the 111 route. The lady on the phone is awful. She’s so patronising and gets annoyed at you for not knowing processes. When you call again when she asks, she’s still annoyed at you and talks down to you. I think they are under a lot of pressure like most GP surgeries, but they don’t help you get medical help/what I do next. They just turn you away, as if you’re on own.

  4. Review titled Not sure about the health workers

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Saira - Posted on 04 December 2023

The doctors who I've seen have been great, however less sure about the health workers. I was due to have a blood test a few months ago at the surgery but was told by the health worker when I arrived that she couldn't do the test as she didn't have the right size needle, and could I go to the centre on St John's Hill instead. She also gave me some incorrect information about screening for something else. Last week a health worker at the surgery carried out an ECG and gave me the wrong information about next steps and what happens with my results. I only got the right information when I rang this morning to follow up, and spoke to someone on reception.

  6. Review titled Just fantastic caring practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have long term healthcare issues which are managed incredibly well by this practice. The receptionist are always helpful and polite. It's very easy to get an emergency appointment on the day and the phone is answered quickly. Doctors are very busy, but demonstrate compassion and give their time where needed. I feel very well looked after!

  7. Review titled Always get an appointment if some sort & help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I just want to thank Battersea Rise Group Practice as I have been registered here for over 15 years and I have always been able to get help when really needed it. Whether it’s a call back from doctor or appointment. There have been so many people saying they can’t get a doctors appointment for months and I just want to thank the surgery. Telephone appointments are brilliant as saves time having to go for some things for both them and me. Reception staff are a lot more friendly now too I have noticed which makes a huge difference. So a big thank you to everyone there for all your efforts in these tough times, it is really appreciated

  8. Review titled Caring nurses and GP but...

Rated 4 stars out of 5

The nursing care and GP at the clinic have never let me down, but I do wonder about the staff in the reception area or how patients are meant to handle their samples. One of the first times I visited I had to take a urine sample. I was handed the collection pot at reception, which is a public waiting area - and told to go to the loo with it. When I returned I was told to wait at reception while holding on to the sample in my hand. I was not offered a bag to hide the sample or any privacy, even when I asked incredulously, so I am supposed to hold my urine sample in my hands while waiting to see the GP then? I did wonder how the staff would handle a stool sample collection? I am an ex nurse and I would have expected any patient getting a sample collection to be given some privacy and dignity. Fortunately the GP on call was actually really nice when I actually got to see her.
