  1. Review titled Fantastic service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 April 2024

I have recently been very unwell with breathing issues. I saw the GP on Thursday and was reviewed thoroughly and given medication. An appointment was made for me to be reviewed at the hospital on Saturday- I was here sent to A&E and where received fantastic care too. I was then reviewed by the GP again Tuesday. Both times of needing an appointment I was able to get one quickly. The GP phoned me yesterday to check on me and advised I could get back in contact if I needed to. Today the GP called me to check up on me. I really feel the service I’ve received has been fantastic, the surgery couldn’t have done more to help. I also phoned with a query in this time which was dealt with quickly and effectively. I am truly grateful for having such a caring and thorough GP.

Been here roughly 14yrs never struggled to see a Dr, reception always go extra mile to help and never had a bad experience here. Drs even call me sometimes in order to check up. Now that's customer service.

  3. Review titled So impressed with this practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently moved and was worried about leaving the doctors that I had been with my whole life but since moving to St David’s Family practice I have had nothing but great experiences. The doctors are thorough and give you the time to explain, they care and they get back to you quickly. The reception staff are really lovely. I honestly could not recommend this practice enough and wish I had moved to them sooner

  4. Review titled Uneceptably poor

Very rude staff, they hang up on you for no reason clearly the receptionist are under alot of pressure are unable to communicate in a professional manner. I requested doctors letter 9 weeks ago they took the money but we are still waiting for the letter it was ment to be done in 3-6 weeks been given the same excuse for weeks apparently only one person deals with these requests but this person is never in work.

  6. Review titled Lovely practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Anna L - Posted on 05 July 2022

I recently moved to St David's from another GP as they were extremely unhelpful. I called St David's to arrange appointments for myself and my baby and each time I called, I was always caller number 1 and my call was answered quickly. The ladies at the reception are very helpful and knowledgeable. I had no issues with arranging my appointments at the time that suits me which was a big issue with the previous GP. I was anxious to change my GP after 6 years but it was definitely a good decision. Highly recommended.

  7. Review titled Receptionists treat patients with contempt

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 June 2022

Reception staff are rude, unhelpful, plainly demeaning and dehumanising. I have a disability that effects my health consistently and only take my medication, nothing else. Yet they treat you as if you want a prescription for methadone, even when you just want a cancer screening. Disgusting and will be soon seeking another surgery.

  8. Review titled Excellent Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Highly satisfied - Posted on 29 June 2022

In short the service since the pandemic has been exemplary. If every GP practice was as efficient as this one the health service would be flying high. The staff are courteous and a credit to the surgery.

  9. Review titled review of repeat prescrption

Rated 3 stars out of 5

have until recently always been able to request repeat prescription medication a couple of weeks before medication finishes. have now been told tbat xan only request 1 week before medication finishes. this is my first time on new rules and already had a problem. request was thursday allowed 72 working hours took me to today .. tuesday. asked someone to go collect for me as chemist would be closed by time i got back from work. chemist only had one of my medication. go back tomorrow wednesday.. and should hopefully have some. my last tablet tomorrow. will ask another favour for someone to collcet for me.. lets hope they have stock, otherwise i dont have all my medication for thursday. i dont think requesting medication 2 weeks in advance is unrealistic and this example is exactly reason why allowing more than 1 week is important. also please dont forget that people work and cant always pick prescription within such a short schedule. i dont finish work until 5.30 impossible for me to get back in time before chemist closes. my medicayion finished mid week. looks like i might be missing daily medication on a regular basis. not too sure that is going to do my blood pressure any good. considering the above 2 examples of the difficulties and unexpected problems the 1 week rule present please please review this process and give a least a 2 weeks
