  1. Review titled Good Practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

This is a good practice. Secretaries are really helpful and most of the doctors are wonderful too except for this particular doctor I was referred to yesterday.(and on a previous occasion too) Went in with a chest pain as I was referred by a private online GP to go and see a doctor to listen to my chest. But this GP did not even listen to my chest or examine me kept saying it is a muscle pain and wanted to get rid off me. Did not want to listen to me. Perhaps because he was running late. The waiting time to see him was 50 min. This has never happened with any other GP in this practice before. He does not have the qualities of a doctor. Not empathetic or kind.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you feel the secretaries and most of the doctors are wonderful. We are sorry you felt the GP was not empathetic or kind. If you are still concerned about your chest pain, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery. Your feedback will be discussed with all teams at the practice.

  2. Review titled Great services - I just went for the Flu jab but.......

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Hanger - Posted on 08 October 2022

With all the nasty comments on social media about doctor practices, I thought it only fair to share the exemplary service I received today. I went for a flu jab and got offered the pneumonia jab, blood pressure check, advice on my Type 2 Diabetes, Urine test kit, prescription for Statins, and advice on aching hand joints. I got an unexpected MOT and feel surprisingly reassured that the NHS I fully support, supports me. Weldone Chertsey health center.

  3. Review titled Practice Not Bad

Rated 1 star out of 5

Put a repeat prescription on 04/10/22 and as the practice always sends these to the same pharmacy, Lloyds Pharmacy , Weir Road, Chertsey and now they tell me that it takes them 7 days from when they received the prescription from the Doctor making it probably 10 day to get items, surely the practice should change pharmacy.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. However, we do not set which pharmacy a prescription is sent to, this is and always has been the patient's choice. If you would like to change your nominated pharmacy please go to our website and advise which pharmacy you would like your prescription to go to and we will change that for you. Kind regards Nicole Deputy Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Really helpful secretaries

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Grateful patient - Posted on 06 July 2022

I spent a few days trying to find what had happened to a letter to a consultant that was sent from my GP at the practice to the hospital several months ago. To do this, I had to speak to two different secretaries at the practice on two different days. Despite the great volume of calls that they were clearly dealing with, both were very understanding and constructive thereby putting me at ease. It makes a big difference to patients, this one anyway, to speak to someone both helpful, knowledgeable and even cheerful when trying to pursue such important matters.

  5. Review titled Frustrating Times

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Diane - Posted on 28 July 2022

I have been a Patient for over 30 years, and seen a lot of changes over the years, always been impressed by the helpfulness of the GP's have seen. Being able to see or speak to the same GP is essential to some people - especially my son & daughter who are autistic and do not communicate well with people they are not familiar with. I know things have been difficult and I welcomed the new triage service, and online forms, it made my life easier as I hate using the telephone, so for me being able to contact the GP with my problems was brilliant. But now I find I am unable to to book a Blood test, or request any appointment, no matter what time of day. I have to get my BP readings to the diabetic nurse and I can't seem to do this. I thought my life would be simpler, but alas no. It seems to be a struggle and don't see the point anymore of trying to look after myself if the system is not working as well as it was.

Hi Diane, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you are experiencing problems contacting the practice. If you could kindly email healthcentre.chertsey@nhs.net for the attention of Nicole (IT/Admin Manager) with your BP readings and when you need your blood test I will arrange this for you. I will look into why things are such a struggle now and not working for you as they should. We have been closing our forms earlier than usual in the last few weeks due to staff shortages but perhaps we need to have some more forms left on to help our patients contact us as the phone lines are also busy due to the demand. Again thank you for your feedback Kind regards Nicole IT/Admin Manager

I go to the doctor maybe once a year, but needed to go recently and was told that the next PHONE appointment I could get was over 2 weeks away! I put off making doctors appointments because it is so difficult to get seen these days. Quicker just to go to A&E

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback I am sorry our next phone appointment was over 2 weeks away, these are limited slots and are booked very quickly. However, we do offer on the day appointments for anything that medically cannot wait until the next day. Your comments will be passed to team to be discussed and to review our appointment system. Kind regards Chertsey Health Centre
