    Nearly severed my finger a week ago and was told by hospital change dressing on 3rd follow up with Dr on day 5. Attended surgery in Person and asked for Dr appointment which I then found on arrival had been allocated as a change dressing only with a nurse. Whilst nurse was very nice the state of the dressing post being done was so bad I changed it myself once I got home again. Whilst there people only referred to notes from local Urgent care that I attended and not the specialist I was sent onto at Plastic Surgeon Urgent care in Westminster after initial triage (same day). And when they did find something from St Thomas’s they said it gave no details of treatment (which was strong antibiotics and multiple 14 day stitches back and front of knuckles). I am assuming that the Dr follow up I was supposed to get was to check if I had damaged nerves, needed additional physio to get movement back, issues with antibiotics (I have a track record of not being able to take most types) etc but I guess I will never know as the response to I need a dr’s appointment for follow up was from (very nice) receptionist was for her to complete an online form so that the computer could send me a text saying no doctor appointments go to urgent care hospital instead. Not really an appropriate use of urgent care unit is it. I honestly wish I have never transferred to here as have yet to get to see a doctor in the 5 years I have been with the practice. They send random texts (number now blocked) despite being told use the post for information updates and they keep trying to sign me up for loads of “care check ups” to see if I have all sorts of ailments of this that and the other but when I am actually ill or need something done, there are no appointments and no follow ups. Guess the appointments are full with people on random check ups. The availability of actual treatment and appointments you get here, certainly wouldn’t inspire me to have any random “check ups” done because of it did show I needed treatment I doubt it would be available or followed up on by anyone here. Totally lost faith with NHS and their web based treatment and reporting and this tbh this doctor’s practice. Only recommendation I make about this place is avoid it. Couple of plus points though - the new receptionists are much pleasanter and helpful than the folk they had before, & the nurse was very nice even if I didn’t need to actually see her. But this tick box approach to medical care simply doesn’t work well. The computer says no you don’t need a doctor and doesn’t have full notes on it and ultimately I never agreed for my medical records to go into cloud storage either or for people other than a Dr to view. If fact have ticked several boxes on forms saying no to it. Receptionist seem to have full access to your notes. Used to only be doctor who had that.

    I registered recently as a new patient. Completed a klinik form yesterday and the GP called me in the afternoon. Extremely efficient. Much better than ringing at 8 am for an appointment which would be impossible to get.

    I attended my appointment yesterday. Both receptionists were very friendly and helped me with me prescription. The GP was very attentive.

    Avoid this place! I rang after a 111 call where I was advised to book an urgent appointment with this practice, but the person who answered was dead set on being unhelpful and rude, repeatedly cutting me off and feeding me misinformation just to get me to go away.

    I am a new patient and am very happy with the service received so far. Completed a form and got an appointment within 6 days. Nothing urgent so happy to get an appointment. In the other practices you need to call and try your luck. Thank you

    Every time I’ve tried to book an appointment for my baby son through the system I’ve been told to go to a&e. Even when I requested non urgent appointments. The practice used to keep daily appointments for young children but they seem to have changed their policy to not see children at all, unless it’s for vaccinations.

We still have appointments reserved for children but once they are booked we can not add anymore patients to the list for patient safety. Hence, the GP advising the child to attend the urgent care.     Very friendly staff they changed my appointment as I was early and they have free slots clinician was very friendly explained my problem in detail and prescribed medication guess what recover in 2 days very good I definitely recommend if anyone wants to use GP services

    I've been with Vale Medical Centre for over 20 years and previously was always thoroughly impressed with the service. Always able to get a same day appointment if you called bang on 8.30 (and recently 8) am. Until this new system came in, which entails filling in forms. I suffer with regular severe chest infections due to a chronic illness which can only be cleared with antibiotics, this leaves me weak & unable to breathe properly with regular coughing fits. I just needed urgent antibiotics to clear it and they offered me an appointment 7 days later!! Furthermore I look after my elderly neighbour, there is No way she could navigate that system & I worry greatly for those with mental & physical disabilities in accessing services. The staff will still be great I'm sure ..but this system is inhumane & dangerous ! Sorry but it's true.
