  1. Review titled Unacceptable personnel conduct

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tatiana Gontar - Posted on 04 May 2024

Visiting Mawbey Group Practice was an extremely negative experience. I was initially informed by phone that my appointment was scheduled for 3:30 pm, but upon arrival, I was told it was actually at 2:30 pm without any sms confirmation of the appointment time. This led to a dispute as I was certain of the time communicated to me. Because of this, I was forced to wait until 4:30 pm, and even then, I was not attended to. When I demanded to be seen, both the receptionists and doctors displayed extremely unprofessional behavior, ultimately denying me service. I expected Mawbey Group Practice to provide a level of medical service guaranteed by the UK government. However, my experience showed that this practice does not meet the quality and professionalism standards expected from state medical institutions. The lack of appointment confirmation and the unprofessional conduct of the staff have seriously compromised my health and well-being. In conclusion, my experiences at Mawbey Group Practice have been thoroughly disappointing. I would advise potential patients to consider these points seriously when choosing their healthcare provider.

  2. Review titled Worst Podiatry service.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Worst podiatry service in Lambeth. I have been having issues with one of my toes for months. I first went there for their walk in clinic when my toe was red and swollen. I waited 3 hours and when I was finally seen they wouldn’t even look at my toe properly because of a fungal infection on my toe nail even though I explained that’s not why I was there to see them. So waited 3 hours to not even be seen. I then went to one of the other Lambeth podiatrists where i have been getting continuous care for 8 months to try and figure out what was wrong with my toe through the process of elimination. I had antibiotics, x-rays and blood tests and the next suggestion was nail removal. I went and had the toe nail removed at another clinic and was booked into Mawbey for my redressing. This was fine but unfortunately the nail removal has not solved my problem so I call to make an appointment with the podiatrist. I was then told that I had been discharged by Mawbey clinic so could not make an appointment. Mawbey did not ask me anything about why I had the nail removed and evidently did not bother checking my medical history and discharged me without even telling me. This means I now have to go through the tedious process of getting referred again. They are completely incompetent at this clinic.

  3. Review titled Difficulties making face-to face appointment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Online consultation service: spent much time and thought completing the NHS questionnaire which then told me to contact my GP or 111 for an urgent appointment and didn't retain or pass on my info'. GP answering machine advised ringing between 08.30 & 10.30hrs. Next morning: driven to distraction by soundtrack repeating the same notes every 16 seconds during long wait for connection to reception. Not comfortable with discussing my health with (pleasant and patient) receptionist in order to access a telephone consultation with a GP I've never met. Am left feeling almost abandoned and utterly defeated. Rather doubt that things are any better elsewhere but if nothing else can be improved please, please, please do something about the soundtrack. A music therapist might be able to offer suggestions.

Dear Patient Thank you for your comments and for raising your concerns We are really sorry to hear of this experience. We operate a triage system that enables us to be able to see patients face to face on the day where clinically indicated. In order to do this we ask patients for details to speed response. I am really sorry you found this difficult we do offer an option for patients to submit a written account if they feel uncomfortable discussing their needs with the reception team. If you would like to discuss the specific details I would be more than happy to investigate and try to resolve this Please contact the practice and ask to speak to me. My name is Caroline Gray
