  1. Review titled Fantastic surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anita Kingston - Posted on 31 December 2023

I left a negative review but I need to retract it. I was trying to get a repeat prescription on 29th, as a new patient. I was told it would take a while to come through and would see it on nhs or patient access. This didn’t happen and I thought it hadn’t come through. I ended up ringing 111 on the 30th, for the prescription and went to collect it. On collecting it I was told that it was already signed for and was at another pharmacy. This pharmacy was the one I had agreed to for repeat prescriptions and they had the prescription since the 29th. I collected it on the 30th thankfully. It seems the nhs app and the patient access is slow to show updates. My apologies.

  2. Review titled Desperate for repeat prescription

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anita Kingston - Posted on 30 December 2023

I recently joined your surgery. I was to have a phone appointment on 29th with your pharmacy before I get my repeat prescription. Waited all morning. Phone surgery. Pharmacy is sick forgot to tell me. Receptionist told me the doctor would sign the prescription and I could get it on patient access or nhs. I can’t on either. Receptionist also said I was rebooked for Tuesday but I am working and cannot give short notice to not work as I am not sick. I need this prescription. You said you would sort this and you haven’t. Please help me. I will try 111 in the meant time. Thanks Anita Kingston

  3. Review titled Excellent customer service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 November 2023

I forgot to collect a prescription from the pharmacy and contacted the surgery to help with an emergency supply. Despite it being late in the day and it being totally my fault the reception staff were polite and helpful and an emergency supply was to a local pharmacy for me to collect. Thank you

  4. Review titled The worst!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 January 2024

Literally the worst receptionists I’ve ever had the misfortune of speaking to. So so rude uncaring unhelpful and the reception manager condones and encourages their behaviour! I’ve been in tears speaking to them and actually I’m due a smear test and keep rebooking it as I’m petrified to go in there. They treated my daughter appallingly recently and I had to beg them to help her. I have travelled the country with the army and been registered at many surgeries and the reception staff at this one are by far the worst! I’ve even witnessed them treating other patients with rudeness. They literally can’t wait to get you off the phone, constantly interrupt while you’re speaking even just trying to explain the problem you’re rudely interrupted with ‘date of birth’ Urgent customer service training is needed. And a new reception manager with some care and empathy. Don’t forget you wouldn’t have jobs without the patients! To put off getting medical care because you’re scared of the receptionists is incredibly sad. There is one lady who is slightly nicer than the rest but when she gets management advice she is wrongly advised and ends up not wanting to help. I’ve written a complaint and they promised things would improve but they’re just getting worse! I get it’s a tough job but be kind, we are only contacting the surgery because we need medical assistance!

  5. Review titled Awful Receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Charlie Chalk - Posted on 27 November 2023

The receptionist is so rude it’s incredible. It’s twice now in the last year she doesn’t let you talk and just hangs up the phone on you mid sentence. What world are they living in! This needs serious attention from NHS as this is incredibly bad service.

  6. Review titled Disappointing 6 week baby check up

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mariya Brown - Posted on 25 August 2023

The doctor examining my 6 week old and myself following my Caesarian was extremely rushed during the entire examination and did not take the needed care to thoroughly examine my baby and answer our questions. We felt like she just wanted to be done with the examination. She had no personal touch whatsoever which is disappointing given she deals with very young babies and I doubt that through her check she would have picked anything that might have been wrong with my daughter given the rushed manner of her examination. To give an example, Baby was crying and the doctor was doing the eye checks with my baby’s eyes being closed - how does that work? She used abbreviations such as ‘IMs’ for immunisations which neither me or my husband were able to follow so asked her to clarify. She did not take any time to ask how my mental health was given I am a new mum post a major surgery - just asked very briefly how my mood was but if I was struggling this would in no way make it easy for me to discuss my wellbeing. Overall really disappointing experience instilling little confidence in the practice and this doctor. To add to this, the staff at the reception were very unfriendly and every time one asked a basic question re next smeer test or baby’s immunisation was answered in a rushed unfriendly manner leaving the impression that I am wasting their time. If I had the option to drive I would not be staying with this surgery. Every aspect of the care and patient service is below the basic expectations.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to discuss this with you over the telephone. If you feel you would like to discuss any of the issues further please do not hesitate to contact me at the surgery. Practice Manger

  7. Review titled Absolutely appalled!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 June 2023

I am utterly appalled at how I have just been spoken to on the phone. I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant and having recently moved I am sourcing a new doctors. I simply called to ask how the practice works. The lady on the phone was extremely rude telling me to look online. I explained I had and that I was hoping for some more information. She kept getting angry and said she doesn’t have time for my call because people are waiting. She told me to come in, I asked when’s best (I am still working) and she said look online. I have never been spoken to like this on the phone by a GP surgery and I think it is utterly shocking. I waited my turn on the call system and a minimum duty of care would be nice. Very very rude and she even hung up. Do not try and attempt to go here!

  8. Review titled excellent personal service 14.06.23 pm

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 June 2023

Needed urgent ear antibiotics. Turned up at the surgery at closing time tonight. ( in fact the lights were being switched off as I walked in!) Spoke to a very nice receptionist who happened to be talking to a lady doctor at the desk. I explained my needs. I was fitted in with a consultation virtually outside hours and my condition and history checked thorougly by the lady doctor. Perscription issued. Very good service. Very nice staff showing common sense and going beyond what I expected. Well done. Thus I wont be taking up a valuable appointment slot on another day.

Appointment was arranged quickly by the very helpful reception team. Dr was understanding / informative and listened to my concerns. I did not feel rushed or under pressure at anytime. Would recommend this surgery. Thank you.

  10. Review titled Shocking appointment system

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2022

I truly find it upsetting that one of the only ways to book an appointment is through calling the surgery at 8am. I live in an environment where I cannot speak on a phone about private health matters, so I have put off going to the doctors for years. After finally being able to navigate the econsult and speaking to the doctors during more sociable hours where I can have an open conversation, I was successful in organising a scan and blood test. However, I am now faced with the brick wall again of I must call the surgery at 8am to book an appointment for the doctor to tell me my test results. It has been over a week since and I am physically unable to call at 8am due to my living situation and toxic situation of someone hearing my conversation at home. I am begging you on behalf of a lot of people, please make booking appointments not restricted to 8am only. That is just terrible. It has put me in a situation where I cannot call to book an appointment and receive my important test results.
