They tell you to call from 8 am to make appointments but you can’t get through to the receptionist as the phone is always busy or unavailable. This is the worst practice to get help from you may aswell go sis in a&e rather than trying to get a appointment here

  2. Review titled Awful booking system

The worse booking experience you can possibly get for a GP. Called this morning for appointment at 8am, after 264 call backs, I get through at 8.15. The receptionist asks for d.o.b, name and the issue. Once i advise the issue they offer an telephone apt from a nurse who can book me an appointment. I ask are there no appointments left as its only 8.15am? Receptionist says I'm booking you an urgent telephone appointment, she will book you in. I say do you have any appointments with a Dr for today? she says I'm booking you a telephone appointment. I say I understand but are there no appointments left? and she replies oh just come in at 11.55, I say thank you and she puts the phone down. Receptionist are not medically trained. they should not be asking any patients what their issues are as they are not trained to deem an issue urgent or non urgent. It seems my issue was deemed not urgent enough for a Dr's appointment only a telephone appointment even when there were appointments available to book. If an appointment is available to book with a dr why was I offered a telephone appointment from a nurse, the receptionist are not medically trained so how are they able to decide between urgent and non urgent? Issues should remain private and confidential between patient and medical staff, not a member of the public with a job in customer services. This practice should advise all its non medically trained staff to stop asking patients their issues as they are not trained to ask or answer about medical issues! So when you call and your offered a telephone apt, the receptionist has deemed your issue not urgent enough to book the available apt that is on the screen in front of her.
