excellent service, quick and efficiently. My requirements were met with understanding and quiet effectiveness. The sister was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant she undertook the procedure without fuss as a professional should. An enjoyable experience for me...

  2. Review titled Bad experience

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Hello . I had an appointment today for a changing dress at 15:00 . I get there a bit late , the truth , it was traffic and I get there between 5 - 10 minutes late . I did the queue , because it was very busy and when finally was my turn the receptionist told me it’s too late , I should go home and rebook the appointment. How is possible? I’m after the surgery, I can’t put weight on my foot , it’s really an effort for me to come .. I’m with a walking frame , paying taxi .. and they refused to see me although wasn’t only my fault . I am very disappointed that in a place such as gp , a medical centre , where sick persons or elderly coming ..to get better, to find people so ineffective and heartless working there .

  3. Review titled Terrible receptionists

Rated 1 star out of 5

Today was my first appointment with this surgery and my goodness, the receptionists are extremely rude. I just cannot believe they have staff who speak to patients in such a rude manner. I was a patient waiting for my turn to see the doctor and one of the receptionists was on the phone to a patient and she was extremely rude. There was no professionalism at all. The lady was abrupt and put the phone down. She was very defensive on the call and her tone was just not acceptable. Her other colleague openly spoke about how rude patients are. This isn’t something you speak about openly. There are ways to speak to a patient, reassuring them in a polite way. I’m absolutely shocked and felt sorry for the patient on the phone. Noted, we don’t know if the patient was rude but so many people call and are in need of help, you just cannot have staff speaking like that. There was definitely no politeness on the call. The previous call they had, she still wasn’t helpful and put the phone down. Where has the respect gone??! They need to employ new professional staff. I hope these reviews are looked at and the 2 ladies are spoken to as when you walk in, there is no smile, just pure moodiness. Almost like you’ve just walked into the den! Those girls need to remember they have a job to do and to be kind! The world is already a cruel place, don’t add to it when you have vulnerable patients on the phone/face 2 face. If you’re going to be rude, don’t work there - simple! Just because you aren’t happy there, don’t take it out on someone else.

  5. Review titled Appointment System needs an Overhaul

Rated 1 star out of 5

After experiencing and reading countless reviews and the fact that it has a Google review of close to 2/5 stars. Someone in the management must do something about this abysmal system of appointments. The GP practice opens from 8am-7pm on average. However, when I called a tad minute late at 8.02am all lines were busy and when I got through I was patient number 15. After waiting half an hour, I got through, only to be told there are no face to face appointments and I need to call again tomorrow! Just give me a dam appointment for tomorrow, why waste my time for me to call again and go through the same process again! What a abysmal and pathetic system. When I tell my relatives and friends, they look as confused as I am about this dumb system!

Dear Patient - Thank you for your review. We are mindful that the phone lines have been extremely busy, we have sourced more staff to answer the phone lines in the busy time which is between 8-10am. Unfortunately, we do also have to accommodate the patients waiting at the surgery door for appointments too. We do have options. Please also use our e-consult service which has proved to be a success for patients. I am sorry for this inconvenience however we are striving to provide all our patients with the best possible service we can. We do appreciate your co-operation and understanding during these challenging times.

  6. Review titled No appointments available

Rated 1 star out of 5

All the time when I try to book appointments there are none left! Twice book appointments via econsult, twice ended in Erith GP hub with no apparent in the system. Waiting time for reaching reception is at least an hour. No help for suffering child.

Dear Patient - Thank you for writing this review, I can assure you that we do everything we can to meet all patients medical needs. Although we do have a high level of face to face appointments on the day, along with telephone calls, we also have vulnerable timeslots for the elderly, vulunerable and children so unless these have all be allocated, we then provide you with another way of speaking to a GP via the local hub or by offering you a prebookable telephone call or face to face appointment however this could be within 48 hours. If you child did require urgent medical assistance, then our staff are trained to signpost you to Urgent Care if they have exhausted all efforts beforehand. We have tried to solve certain issues that the patients have reported back to us and one of them was the phone lines. We have introduced a call waiting queue so that we know you are waiting to speak to the next available member of the team and we have also sourced new receptionists to answer phones. If you would like to discuss this issue with me, please contact me at the surgery or via email sladegreenmedicalcentre@nhs.net and I will be happy to meet with you. I hope your child is well kind regards, Alexandra Practice Manager
