  1. Review titled Terrible Practice

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2024

You can never get to actually see a doctor at this practice anymore, which is so disappointing. E-Consults you end up with a different doctor every time and my last experience I was told I am referring to a 10 page script and what do you want to do. The doctor seemed totally uninterested. I have been told 3 different things on 3 different occasions, I have now completely given up. This used to be a good practice, but sadly not any more. I have even had a text message to confirm a E-consult which I never requested and trying to convince the practice I didn’t complete the request was hard work. I had to ask the name of the person who the message was for, and then they admitted it was wrong and not for me. Need to get back to how they were.

  2. Review titled Great doctor and service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Such a wonderful experience this morning after consulting on Econsult Tuesday received a phonecall and a doctors appointment for this Friday! Met a very kind, extremely knowledgeable doctor then walked up the road for my prescription from Lyminge Chemist who had my medication! A very efficient service with wonderful people! Thank you.

  3. Review titled Econsult Unfit for Purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

The Econsult system is too general. It cannot cope with ailments that do not fit into the strict boundaries it employs. As such, it is, for those cases, a barrier to treatment and compounded by the lack of GP coverage. This surgery has declined over the past few years and now appears to offer a very poor service.

  4. Review titled It works!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have had reason to repeatedly contact this surgery over the past 6 weeks due to an acute situation On every occasion the surgery have met my needs in a fast and empathetic fashion. I started each contact with an Econsultation and the response, advice and action has been on the same working day. A brilliant service - Thank you

  5. Review titled Prescribes old medicine your not on anymore

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 August 2022

My repeat prescription was never sent to the pharmacy, Phone up to chase it up and they send it to the pharmacy. Collect the prescription and they’ve sent one that I’ve not been on for 5 months! Phone the surgery and have the most rude and unhelpful lady who’s told me they have no record of my newer medicine. Still not got my prescription!

  6. Review titled Appointment system utterly appalling

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Victoria - Posted on 08 July 2022

The doctors and staff at New Lyminge Surgery are all really helpful and caring. However I understand the need for distant appointments and systems are changing but In comparison to other surgeries I find NLS system unusable to the point I need to move surgery. Filling out the form is fine and an easy process to use, however then being told you will have had some form of contact by the following day which also I suppose is good. My issue is today my daughter's ear has been seeping and leaking and she is in pain, I filled the e consult and then rang the surgery to be told the doctor will assess at some point today or Monday so I'm sat here thinking shall I go to A and E, or ring 111 so I can ensure I see a doctor today or I sit with a baby in the one spot in my house that has reception so I don't miss a call I hope will come? Why can't you give someone a timeframe? A few weeks ago I had blood in my stool, filled out an e consult and was got back to to say someone will contact me on a specific day, so I missed the call as I was waiting all day with no time given ,at 5pm i thought well no one's going to call and i bathed my children at 6.00 pm and missed the call, why can't you give a two hour time frame? I still havent spoken to a doctor about the issue as a message was left for me to contact the surgery again and go through the entire thing again. It is utterly ridiculous you don't give any time frames at all for distant appointments. How can I make a complaint to NHS England as these two cases are a few of many and it leaves me feeling worried and anxious every time any one of us needs a doctor.
