I have had to ask for an ‘e consult’ the answer I got via email ( I had requested a telephone call) was incorrect. There is no way to reply to the email . I now have to do another ‘ e consult’ This is ridiculous, I wish you would abolish the e consult as these are frustrating and a complete waste of peoples time.

It’s taken about 5 phone calls and 4 emails to actually speak to a Dr. I would like to see a Dr face to face, but not possible. You have to go through the e consult procedure to book an appointment, where they just send you an email and if you have any questions you have to go through the e consult again. Whatever happened to just phoning and making an appointment? I was told , they can’t do that. Seriously ? What is wrong with this surgery????

  3. Review titled Good overall experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I needed to book an appointment to see the doctor although i had to wait for 4 weeks for a pre bookable this wasn't a real problem as it wasn't an urgent issue. I attended the appointment and the doctor i saw was very good. I was given advice and referred and left feeling like the doctor had listened to my problems. I would highly recommend this practice. I think the biggest problem within the NHS is the expectations. There are only so many hours in a day and only so many appointments. If those with non urgent problems are willing to wait then they would have the same experience. Instead i see people complaining that they cannot get an appointment but this is usually because they want one that day. The whole system is changing and although we may not like this we all need to give it a chance. We cannot always see who we want when we want but we can usually see someone that can help or direct us to get help. The staff in the surgery have a very difficult job to do but they do their best as far as i am concerned.

  4. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an appointment with the doctor who spoke to me on the telephone and then asked me to attend the surgery the same day for an examination. The doctor was very nice, understanding and listened to my issues. I could not fault the receptionists they were very polite even though they were extremely busy while i was in the surgery. It was perfect for me to take a telephone call first as i work.

  5. Review titled Do doctors actually exist

Rated 1 star out of 5

I find it quite strange after having a blood test can get an appointment to See a doctor , for them to just tell you you need vitamin supplements. How ever if you feel you are on you death bed and not sure if you need strong antibiotic’s or go to hospital , they will send a paramedic , with no disrespect to them , is a very basic trained one , who then calls ambulance , those paramedics in turn phone doctor for antibiotics. Doctor does not know patient so antibiotic’s Not really strong enough to do job . Week later trying to get doctor to actually see patient , but basic paramedic sent again . Where is the common sense.

  7. Review titled Awful

Still can’t see a Dr, appointment over the phone. Dr continually talked over us, then accused us of being rude. Needed a change in medication but the Dr wouldn’t give a new medication until he had written to the consultant even though the consultant didn’t give us the medication in the first place, which we explained. So now we have to suffer until a letter is written, posted and received and the very busy consultant writes a letter, posts it and it it received by the surgery and then we will have to , no doubt, wait for another appointment then wait for a prescription and then travel quite a few miles to pick it up. So in pain and suffering for another two weeks if we are lucky, if we are unlucky, a month?? It feels like patients are being treated like an annoyance.

    - can’t get an appointment. - (some) staff are shockingly rude - Still using COVID as an excuse to call patients back to see if they are worthy of an in person visit. - Just don’t say I did’t warn you.

  9. Review titled Can take over 1 hour to get through on the phone.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 May 2022

Getting through on the telephone can be extremely frustrating. A call queue system was introduced a while ago, however calling at 8am this morning the system said to call back later as everyone was busy. After repeated calls, around 8:10 managed to join the call queue, however after 20 minutes I was dropped out of the queue and call ended with a message that everyone was busy. Called back and reached a human after another 34 minutes, and of course any appointments were long gone. Not being dropped a second time at the 20 minute point suggests that this was done manually. One or two more staff to handle appointments during the first hour might help, and a better way to handle appointments in general is really needed.
