I attended with my wife today, having submitted an econsult yesterday. The surgery phoned this morning to give us an appointment this morning and we were seen by nurse practioner who was lovely, very caring and supportive towards my wife and the health issue that she has. Very gratefull for the help and support were were given

  2. Review titled E Consult

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Surgery encourages use of Econsult. I understand the reasons so on 15th April 2024 i used it to request two straightforward and innocuous prescriptions for minor complaints which did not need a Doctor's time. I recieved a response within 24 hours as stated. However the response said someone would contact me in the afternoon of Wednesday 24th April. Nine days after the request! I assume the clinician will sanction this resonable request and if so probably another five days before Chemist fulfills the order. Frankly if i had asked for a nurse appointment i would have the medication by now. So Econsult what's the point?

  3. Review titled Really poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Despite being in constant pain and being prescribed strong painkillers the GP seems incapable of actually issuing a simple prescription. I have waited 7 days currently for this most basic of tasks

  4. Review titled Very confused

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Michael Perie - Posted on 02 April 2024

I received a text message from this surgery as they were trying to arrange a Dermascope appointment. They asked me to contact them. I attended in person as I couldn't get through on the phone. I was told at reception that they would contact me with an appointment. Who is correct? The sender of the text or the receptionist? I've been waiting over 4 weeks now. So I'm very confused.

  5. Review titled Very quick and informative

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Michael Perie - Posted on 02 April 2024

After having a rather confusing encounter earlier in the day, I managed to get through on the phone and the call taker was extremely helpful, giving me options for an appointment. He was able to fit me in straight away. The practice is large and I felt very comfortable there. And thank you to the staff for your promptness. My earlier negative feedback has been overcome.

  6. Review titled HOW?

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Paul - Posted on 31 March 2024

Copy and pasted from Oaklands website: "Blood tests: Please select a ‘blood test’appointment from the drop down menu. These are 5 minute appointment slots for a blood test only with our Phlebotomist Kim. Please ensure you have a hospital form or that a blood test has been requested by a member of the Oaklands Health Centre team." What drop down menu? Why not link it directly from this page and save the frustration of not being able to find it? On top of that Patient Access suggests that the PSA blood test can't be done by the surgery and suggests a private agency can do it. I have copied and pasted this from the website: (https://app.patientaccess.com/appointments/services/6099367c-d7ab-419f-a254-73398c6b42b8/providers?term=&type=defaultconfigpostcode&radius=5&radiusunit=miles&isonlineonly=false) Sorry, we could not find any appointments near this location. You may find more providers by zooming the map out or trying a different post code. This service is now also available to purchase with home delivery by the following providers: Rainbow Laboratories Home delivery London Medical Laboratory Home delivery

  7. Review titled Did not try call me on day of e consult

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Dee - Posted on 28 March 2024

I waited 2 weeks for my e consult appointment which said I could be contacted anytime up until 6.30pm. At 12.53 I received a text saying they needed a photo of the issue, no details were given how to send this and no phone call was made to me. I was unable to speak to someone until 2pm when I was told I would have to make a new appointment in 2 weeks time even though it was still the same day my appointment was due as the person had apparently gone home. I mentioned that even a picture will probably not be sufficient and as I will be away for work for a month there was nothing else I could do. A link was emailed to me to send a picture which I have done before the my appointment day has ended, this could have been done over the phone had they bothered to call me. This is my first appointment with this surgery and I'm very disappointed to say the least. Also to confuse you they use many ways of contacting etc eg, email, text, patient access and NHS app so beware and check all of them.

  8. Review titled Contact via phone

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Eve McLeish - Posted on 22 March 2024

I have to ring to make an appointment for regular B12 jabs. Today I waited in a queue for 20 minutes before I became first in line. This happened at 16:59. The phone then ceased to relay the highly tedious and repetitive messages and just started to ring. After a few minutes I realised that the surgery closes at 17:00 and that I had been cut off. It is completely unreasonable to waste my time in this way, not to say, downright rude. I will now have to spend another chunk of time next week trying to secure an appointment. When it suited you, during covid, I was able to make my next appointment with the nurse after I received my jab, why do you persist with poor service when dealing with patients. Online appointments?

I was referred to the hub from Sun Lane, I was seen by a nurse practioner quickly and was impressed with her efficient and kind treatment, thank you.

  10. Review titled Knee injections

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Brian Harman - Posted on 30 December 2023

I have been in agony all over the Xmas period after waiting a month for injections to my knees because I was told I would be put on the list for the injection clinic which to me seems silly when there are two Doctors there that can do these injections that have done them for me in the past as I never ask for these injections before they are absolutely necessary and when the pain becomes really bad am how I supposed to know when the injection Clinic is held so I can prebook an appointment up until approximately 12 months ago I could get these injections by booking an appointment and getting them as and when needed they take less than 10 minutes to administer which I am sure is shorter than a lot of ordinary appointments.
