I recently had open surgery on my abdomen and had to request a number of things such as: Sick note Pain relief Routine injection And advise for a sore throat. The whole process left me feeling so stressed and overwhelmed and not what is needed once you have undergone major surgery. The staff showed no care or compassion towards me or helping to accommodate to my requirements due to not being able to drive etc

The Nurse at the Barming Practice was amazing. Unlike the college road practice who don’t show any empathy or care, the Nurse listened and acted on both my queries and got it sorted within minutes. This is something I have been chasing the college road practice for months and finally the nurse knew exactly what to do and took care of me. Anyone needing a nurse I highly recommend the nurse who saw me in the morning. The review won’t let me use your name Nurse :-( Thanks

Easy to get a response to a request for a blood test. Unfortunately Allington receptionist refused a face to face request last year resulting in a partly wasted visit to Guys hosp. It could also have been life threatening.

Eventhough I was originally offered a face to face appointment, when I arrived at the surgery for the appointment I was told this had been changed to a telephone consultation. Nevertheless, the receptionist was very helpful and managed to get the doctor to agree to see me. I was generally quite impressed that I did an eConsult on one day and was seen by a doctor the next day. Even with the disappointing breakdown of communication around the type of appointment, it on the whole was a major improvement on the level of service experienced recently.
