Most of my appointments are usually in relation to treatments and services provided by the nurses at the GP, and I must say they are all lovely. I had my first cervical screening test with a nurse and she was fab, I was nervous but she was kind and explained the whole process as we went along to ease my nervousness.

The surgery never seems to be open or answering the phones. The website seems to have out of days opening hours as when calling at midday it says the surgery is closed and then reels off the opening and closing times which contradicts with the fact they are coded. So updates much needed. When given a phone call consultation, no rough time is given, and if you miss it, you have to start the process of making an appointment all over again. Very frustrating.

Once again the surgery has not prescribed the correct medication. After being told by a rather abrasive woman emphatically saying that my prescription was sent electronically for my diabetic medication, it turns out it wasn't. The rest of my medication was, but the diabetic one wasn't and was put in paper form and is most probably around the surgery somewhere. I have a Dorset box with the same medication every month! Last month they did not send all of my thyroid medication, only 50 mgs instead of 75, apparently I have been taken off the 25 .according to the surgery. So why did I receive 75 in this months prescriptions. Absolutely useless and quite dangerous too.

Thank you for your feedback - I am sorry you were unhappy... we did have an issue with prescriptions at that time as I explained which has now been sorted. I do understand how you feel though and I am working to make improvements to the surgery in all areas - it is a work in progress.

A wonderful nurse took care of me today. She was so caring and very professional. She really calmed my nerves when I was feeling a bit nervous and I felt so much better once I had seen her.

I had to have a smear test done today, and I can’t fault the nurse that did the procedure, she treated me how she would have liked to be treated and she talked me through everything that she was doing. It’s a shame that the practice has gone severely down hill I just can’t get an appointment to see my own doctor, I’m lucky that I don’t go to the doctors that often.

I’m mystified about this surgery when you do get appointments every thing seems to work well for me But my previous comment on this system on 05/09 got a response on 7/11 asking me to contact an unnamed person which I attempted to whilst in the surgery and the receptionist said someone would be in touch Not yet 29/11 Other members of my close family have had very little luck getting what could be maybe serious problems sorted out ie the local hospital refer them back so they (the doctor)only to be told by said doctor she couldn’t refer to any other hospital than our local hospital They have now had to go private at considerable cost It’s a very sad state of affairs when young people can’t get help unless family pays This probably a complete waste of my time as I get the impression polite comment doesn’t actually achieve anything Small wonder some resort to insults Happy Days

I went to see my nurse at the surgery today to get my INR check and once again the nurse was professional and very understanding in her approach to my problems, my INR has always been a problem to keep to a even level but my nurse now has an understanding with my issues and with a few minor adjustments she always seems to get it back on track,I also mentioned a few other worries that I have with my health and again my nurse went above and beyond to answer my questions and put me at ease ( I wish I could name the nurse but am not allowed due to NHS policy) I personally think that when dealing with a patient with a few issues it is so reassuring when your nurse understands and listen’s, which mine does and I could not be happier with the treatment that I receive on every visit. Keep up the good work and thank you.

We as family have been with this surgery for over fifty years and sadly recent experiences haven’t been great I’d booked an appointment early August and to my surprise got one for the next working day.From that several tests were needed When the test results arrived I tried to book a consultation (phone would be acceptable) and was told the earliest would be 1 day short of a calendar month away. My concern is that I had genuine reasons for my initial appointment and my problem is still persists Clearly it’s not life threatening but am I wrong to expect something slightly better I read all comments online from the surgery but no mention of when things might improve
