    Called to get some eczema cream for my 5 month old, just wanted to speak to doctor so he could prescribe a cream she’d had previously in a flare up. The receptionist told me I needed to fill out a form online and it would take 3 days, I said is there anyway I could just speak to a doctor and she then was very very rude and patronising and said that I should have done this a week ago. This made me feel very annoyed and patronised and did not feel it was needed or her place to tell me when I should have done something.

    I am sorry that your experience was not what you expected - we do make it clear to patients that we do not take requests over the phone and to allow up to 3 days for us to process a request. There are several easy ways to request medication that we fine most patients are happy using. We are always happy to work with patients if the medication is critical and they need it urgently

    Excellent service from Islingword Road surgery. Call answered promptly by receptionist. Dr returned call and prescription in pharmacy that morning. Thank you

    This morning I called up for an appointment and the receptionist was really kind and helpful. She listened to what I was saying and tried to find the best solution for me. She offered me an appointment with someone that I didn't know about and booked it in for after the GP appt just in case I needed it and it would help. She didn't need to do that and in my last surgery, the receptionists weren't kind let alone helpful and so it felt really nice for someone to listen and help when I'm in pain. Thank you!

    Can't email, but please do check into patient access to communicate with us. Patient access: No messages allowed. No booking of appointments allowed. Someone's really given this process a lot of thought, what?

    I'm sorry to hear you couldn't send a message via Patient Access to the practice, I will look into why this isn't working. In the meantime please use Engage Consult or there is the option on Contact Us to fill in a form that is then sent to us for non medical assistance.

    met with doctor this morning and come away totally miserable went to discuss my recent stay in hospital in icu due to dka mentioned my bs were up and down asked me the low blood sugar reading and immediately said stop the quick acting insulin didn’t ask me the high numbers which I’m struggling to keep down didn’t ask what I am eating just brushed me off when I said I didn’t want metaformin I will never ever book an appointment with that doctor ever again come away none the wiser and was a waste of time made me feel that I was wasting the doctors time I’m so cross that a doctor wasn’t interested if they don’t like their job I suggest they leave and go work in another industry not make patients feel like I do

    I moved to this practice last year and despite all the pressures of covid, every member of the practice I have come into contact with has been kind, polite and helpful. I have felt listened to and cared for with compassion and intelligence, making me feel very safe as a patient at this practice. Everything seems well organised and efficient and the building is kept clean and well- maintained. Repeat prescriptions can be ordered online and picked up from a local pharmacy and this system works very well. The main thing that makes this such a great practice is the exceptional group of doctors, nurses and other staff working there.
