In terms of health care it is a fantastic surgery. I have just registered with the surgery at the beginning of the year because at our previous practise, getting an appointment is impossible let alone a doctor. The receptionist never answered the phone. In twelve months not any member of my family was able to get an appointment to see a doctor no matter how hard we try. I don't even know the name of my GP, even though I am registered at the surgery. The phone is always engaged occasionally when you get through,the call is cut off. We left and registered with the Shrubbries. We have already seen a Dr, have a health mot, the receptionist call- back system is perfect. In fact the doctors are great and every member of staff I spoke to was very polite and very professional. my family and I ,are very happy with the surgery and to those of you out there looking for the confidence and medical assurance you need from your practice,I suggest that you move to this one Quick! quick!!.

I just wanted to write a review to share my positive experiences with this practice. Since I joined a couple of years ago I’ve had nothing but fantastic appointments with all doctors and nurses and I feel extremely lucky to belong to this surgery. Attended with my partner struggling with his mental health, receptionists and doctors so respectful and patient. Went above and beyond for not only him but me and checking in. Absolutely faultless!

I feel so grateful to have Shrubberies as my medical centre. During the 10 years I have been a patient there, the staff have consistently and effectively cared for myself and my two children with compassion, attention to detail and expertise. I recently had a health scare and the compassionate, calm and swift manner in which the situation was dealt with meant that I felt completely looked after throughout the whole process. Everyone there is so helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this medical centre to anyone.

Receptionists are always so understanding and empathetic, they do their best to assist. Attended with a 9 week old, everyone understanding - listened and attentive without being rushed

Review titled Best GP but you need to get past the receptionists

I use this practice because my GP is the best I’ve ever had. However to get an appointment with my GP I have to go through receptionists. They are extremely rude, seem to think they are doctors and determine whether you are ill enough over the phone. I’ve been told I’m not ill enough and do not warrant an appointment. I am someone who only goes to see a GP if I really need to. I think this practice seriously needs to think about how its receptionists treat people before someone becomes very ill due to them withholding appointments. I understand GP’s are very busy but I had to fight for my last appointment and I was nearly admitted to hospital by the GP I saw.

I have been a patient of this practice for 30+ years and have always found the reception staff and the doctors pleasant, polite, and supportive. However, recently the reception staff have been specially empathetic and welcoming and enhance the nursing and medical experience. The doctors are as always, receptive and communicative

I had to attend the surgery over a period of 5 weeks, seeing two of the doctors. Each one showed concern and provided details of the next steps to be taken, keeping in touch by phone. I felt reassured by their concern and their knowledge
