  1. Review titled Rude receptionists

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Receptionists are rude! They have no patience and are disrespectful. I have experienced rudeness several times with them so now I’m leaving review and drawing attention to it. Politeness and patience costs nothing. With my most recent experience with this surgery I needed a particular form for something and the receptionist behaved as if it was too much bother for her to get it for me

I required the assistance of the receptionist staff as i was having difficult around the surgery as i had a few appointment. They went far and beyond to ensure my needs were met and that my visit to the surgery was pleasant. I highly recommend this surgery!

  3. Review titled Great Practice

I saw the duty Doctor today. they provided me with exceptional care. My information from my last visit was shared across the GPs so that this consultation was meaningful and effective. I feel each GP has taken time to read through notes before hand. Thank you.

  4. Review titled Bad communication

    by Tom682 - Posted on 01 December 2023

After having a bike accident I needed a sick note and guidance from my GP about pain management. The prescription my GP gave me did not manage my pain and made me sleepy. The next day I rang my surgery at the time needed to get an appt and explained my situation to the member of staff. They explained they would speak with the doctor and get back to me. By lunchtime I was in quite a lot of pain and had not heard back from the surgery. I went to my local pharmacist for guidance of what to do. Could I continue using the over-the-counter medicated dressing that lasted for 12 hrs but could only be used for 7 days? With an understanding that I could from the pharmacist, I rang back the surgery, who I still had not heard back from. I was informed the doctor I had seen the previous day had only just come in and they would relay my message. I missed a call from the surgery and when I called back in the afternoon, experiencing quite a lot of pain, I finally got a response. However, the member of staff I spoke to made it very clear that they were busy and did not have time or consideration to explain what the doctor had said in a way I could understand. When I communicated this to them they made no attempt to change the way they communicated to me or to apologise for making me experience poor care. When I asked to speak to their manager they informed me they were the manager, again with no attempt to change my experience of poor care. I should note I have previously posted a positive review from excellent care I have received in the past from this surgery.

  5. Review titled Receptionists

    by handsethw78 - Posted on 23 October 2023

My experience of GPs and nurses at this surgery has been mostly good. However I find the phone manner of some of the receptionists unacceptable. They have, on several occasions, hung the phone up on me before I’d finished speaking, they regularly cut me off when speaking and I find them generally incredibly rude. This is has been the case on 9 out of 10 occasions that I have called the surgery.

  6. Review titled Impersonal rushed care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

They don’t deliver personal care. They have no relationships with their patients as no consistency is held. If you book an appt you never know which doctor will be assigned to you. They are a reactive and not proactive service. You have to chase them continuously for follow up info. They get instructions from the hospitals and never liaise with the patient to carry them out. Dangerously poor communication.

Recognising difficulties with my mental health was difficult, but being supported to explore options to support this area in my life by two different GPs at The Clapton Surgery over the last 2 years really could not have been better. In particular with the difficult decision around to remain on medication or not.Thank you

  8. Review titled Practice is always filled with lovely people willing to help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Booked an appointment very easily over the phone and I came in, signed in and saw a doctor with no fuss. This is how it should be.

  9. Review titled Gone very bad.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Why does it have to be the most exasperating task to see a doctor face to face, when images don't suffice? The receptionists are rude and every time you say that you are frustrated with their system, instead of passing on the feedback, they battle with you. I would comment though that I have had good experience with the nurse and the female doctors. The main doctor is a disaster. When you re-iterate a question or concern, instead of explaining the condition / confirming/ emphasizing, all he can tell you is ''mum, I told you so...''
