  1. Review titled Badly lacking administration

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I tried over a week to contact by phone and then gave up, this after having to call 111 over the weekend whilst not well but the surgery did not even bother to get in touch with me! Doctors are great, staff are pleasant but administration is zero! No organisation of phones and appointments, no piscription manager ie a pharmacist, no organised calls answering service, no online proper organised running of the practice in general, imposable to be contacted by phone or otherwise making it very hard work to talk to any staff member! What a shame it started off well but very bad management I guess. 😞

this is the most amazing practice I have ever experienced in my 65yrs (living in many places) every doctor I have dealt with is 'above and beyond' and the lead person (pharmacy) couldn't have been more helpful and kind to me this morning in arranging for my many prescriptions to now run concurrently..... You won't find a better medical practice!!!

  3. Review titled Very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

The GP has not actioned any referrals deemed necessary following a neurologist letter that they received over 2 months ago. When I phoned to speak to the surgery the receptionist was very rude, rushed and did not give me the opportunity to speak. She just wanted me off the phone. My son has a severe learning disability and autism and his behaviour can comprise his safety and wellness. If I wasn’t there to advocate for him he would be left to rot. Get some manners and allow people time to speak and explain their problems. It used to be the patient that was rude but now the staff are! Very poor

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We are experiencing delays in receiving hospital letters due to the pressures they are currently under, therefore we need to check whether we have received this letter. We would like to help you as soon as possible to look into this. Could you pop into the surgery with the letters you have or email them to us at thewhitehousesurgery@nhs.net so that we can help you as soon as possible. We have shared the comments made above with staff and will look into this as a practice. Dr S Sharma

  4. Review titled How do you get an appointment?

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I am a software engineer so not a computer illiterate and I can't figure out how to get an appointment online. When you go to the route of "book appointment", the system suggest to look for other services first which is not applicable to me. I can't go beyond that. econsult doesn't work. patientaccess website says GP doesn't provide the service so there is no way to do an online booking but that is not clear from website (before we were told we should book online). We can't get an appointment on the phone because whenever we call it is all booked. You have to call at a specific time and it fills out very quickly because they only take on the day bookings not for the next day.

How do you get a appointment I bet you have got a fast computer. Sadly I have not, I went to see the nurse last week from a request from the hospital. while I was there I ask about a lump which has come up on my elbow, I was ask to make a appointment to show the doctor the lump, So I went to the reception and ask for any day or time, only to be told they had all gone and phone in the morning. Which I did only to be told sorry you have to go on line and book it sadly I could not work out how to make the booking so I phone again and was told all the booking had gone and phone back tomorrow ? and I remember the days you made a time with a human being and appointments where not for a day
