Can never get appointment. Doctor/clinician will call you at some point within 24 hours. Not allowed in the surgery unless you have one, have to ring intercom at front door and speak to reception, with no chance of actually getting in the front door. Last time l saw a clinician she looked up my symptoms on Google. Was not happy at all. Can’t get past reception.

Have had to contact and visit the surgery a few times recently with different issues. The reception are always happy to help and accommodating with booking appointments or arrange a clinician call back, always followed up with a text confirmation. The clinician, nurse and Doctor make it feel a very personal experience, not rushed, and made to feel relaxed. Recommended action explained in detail. Very good practice.

i phoned to ask for a regular blood test for hypothyroidism and diabetes. i gave instructions that I was available during half term (a full week) as I am a teacher. the receptionist told me I couldn't book an appointment and to call later. when I asked when she told me to call back to make an appointment in June when I would be back at work. when i told her I couldn't because of work she was abrupt and slammed the phone down on me. looks like you can't book a blood test with a practice that is 5 minutes walk away from me anymore. I expect I shall ignore the text messages to book appointments from now on if this is the attitude I'm expected to tolerate.

Always friendly and helpful staff, particularly helpful reception team. Unwell at university could not get seen, came home to Ashingdon medical centre where I knew we would get "great care". Wonderful team! Thanks for everything

Been with the practice for 6 years, they put their patients first. From the reception team to the doctors, it's first a class service. Highly recommend.

What an amazing surgery. In all my 62 years, this surgery is the most helpful, kind, caring and accommodating I’ve ever experienced. The way they run this surgery is exceptional. Shame all surgeries don’t follow suit. I hear so many horror stories regarding doctors surgeries with my family and friends but I can’t fault this one at all. Keep up the great work Ashingdon Medical Centre you are doing a fantastic job.

At a time when GP surgeries are still receiving bad press following the pandemic, I have nothing but praise for the Ashingdon Medical Centre. In the last two years, my husband and I have both had health issues. We were both dealt with efficiently and professionally. Staff are polite, friendly and reassuring.
