    Unable to make a booking at reception…..told to phone instead as they don’t have enough medical staff due to sickness. Made over 100 attempts to get through the following morning, finally got through at 8.45am, answer phone message directs me to the online booking system…. Use option 2 for reception…..which is then engaged so a total waste of time Can’t use the online system as that’s been turned off. Get through again at 9.15 and this time don’t press 2 …. Wait for the end of the message and Get into a queue system which when finally answered ….told that there are no appointments left and told to try again tomorrow. We can however take time off work and come for the 1230 emergency queue but as we can’t get there until 1.15 am told we have to rest everyone the same so turning up late to this is not an option. Explained that my wife can’t leave work early and in return the Receptionist says that we’ll if it was an emergency she would take the time off….a total lack of understanding of what my wife does for a living but a superb example of why the surgery has no staff at the moment. Very sadly concluded they are not functioning as a viable service, no compassion and no organisational backup plans.

    Used the e-consult and had a phone call within two days, appointment with my Dr within 4 days. The appointment was only in 4 days, because I prefer to see ‘my’ Dr., otherwise it would’ve been made sooner. In all this chaos and criticism, I felt I had to leave a Thank You (couldn’t use capitals) to all the staff for listening, supporting and understanding. Thank you Theresa Leonhardt

    I keep trying to book an appointment for my daughter after being told by a doctor I need to make an appointment for 4 weeks time. I get told, call in 3 weeks as the diary is open, I do this and then I get told call in 2 weeks so I do that and it’s still not open. Your reception staff are not compassionate at all and I ended up crying on the phone as I’m so stressed trying to get an appointment for my baby and I can’t just sit on the phone for 20 minutes at a time with a new baby trying to book an appointment. The answer I got is ‘the diary isn’t open the person that does the diary hasn’t released it’ can’t even give you a time of when this diary is going to be opened. I have never known anything like this and still when you’ve got a new mum on the phone crying there’s no apology for being told to call today and still not being able to book an appointment. It’s an absolute joke and the reception staff definitely need to go on training courses or just be a nice human being!!!!!! I have a feeling I will call up and then they will tell me all appointments are full.
