I had an appointment at the Loughton Medical Centre today. I had been advised to go to the surgery about 7.50 am to book an appointment to see my doctor for today or I could have telephoned at 8.00 am when the appointments are released. I decided to go to the surgery in person. Doors opened at 8 am prompt and I was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who took my details and notes of my problem. She said I would be triaged and receive a text message regarding an appointment. The text came in promptly and I received a telephone call at about 8.30am from Doctor Ding. We discussed my issues and agreed for me to pop down to see him in person at 10.30am to check out my problem. Was seen promptly at 10.30 by Doctor Ding who put my mind at rest after checking me thoroughly and talking me through my problem. Excellent service as always. When I hear from family and friends about the problems they have with their surgeries I realise how lucky I am. I have always been extremely satisfied with the service I receive from this surgery and the promptness of how my problems are dealt with especially in the current climate where we all know that the NHS are struggling. I would highly recommend this surgery and always find all the doctors that I see to be extremely helpful, friendly and professional especially Doctor Ding

Impossible to get an appointment. Told to call at 8am and cut off every time until the recorded message says all appointments are gone by 8.06am. Ended up having to go privately to discover I had an infection that needed immediate treatment. Even if you are lucky enough to be given an appointment, it's a telephone call and you are not given a time, and the person can't wait to get you off the phone. Last year, I ended up sobbing at work because I'd carried my phone into every meeting and every bathroom all day anxiously waiting for a call only to be completely dismissed, feeling that I had no access to any kind of healthcare. I've been at this surgery for the last 30 years or so, and the total lack of access to care this the biggest danger to my health out there. Avoid.

I filled in a form this morning about my medical issue and was contacted by Dr Ally in the afternoon. She was very thorough and very kind as usual. Excellent service!! Thank you Dr Ally.

Absolutely shocking service - all appointments gone by 8.07am and then told to call back the next day! Was told today to call 111 if I wanted an appointment! Receptionists have zero empathy and cant wait to get you off the phone! The premises is very tied and in places there is infection control issues! I have today reregistered at another practice and could not believe the difference. I should have left along time ago!

My GP at this practice is always extremely thorough, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to help make sure my family and I receive an exceptional level of care. The practice is definitely a busy one but the GPs are always responsive and work super hard. Thank you!

Tried to contact via email as I know the phone calls are terrible in this practice. Been told to call at 8am anyway... I call at 8am. I stay in the queue for 45 minutes on the phone, which is super frustrating. I got told that all appointments are taken and I have to call back the day after at 8am. They say that's how it works. Let me say, it works really bad.

I had what I thought was an appointment twice through patient access. The first time it was changed because I booked bloods by accident, (fair enough, my bad I didn't read before booking!) the 2nd time they called me a day before my appointment after booking via patient access for 3 weeks, to say that I need to see a doctor and need to change my appointment. I thought during the phonecall a dr appt can be booked, nope, they wanted me to call in the mornings to get one. I explained on the phone that due to my work I can't be on the phone at 8am to book appointments that have already gone (forever calling) I'm worried about my health and can't afford £200 private appointment. Useless.

Would like to thank the staff and doctors at the health centre , during the last month my dad has been poorly, they went above and beyond to accommodate his needs.
