  1. Review titled Disgusting antihuman service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rita - Posted on 10 April 2024

Unprofessional, rude and absolutely not human friendly staff, they cant think as they always refer to ‘I cant do anything this is the system’. They are not there to help, it is just a job for them. Why they aren’t able to think and if someone’s condition seems more serious, put them first place. Such a joke what they are doing. Disgusting behaviour , lack of respect . They always claiming that they are working so hard, whenever I was there just chitchatting and doing nothing . All the answer is you need to wait, please be patient etc. I have an ongoing skin problem, my face and hands are full of blisters and itchy spots since February. I ve been at the GP in March, after like a 3 weeks of begging to get appointment. The GP told me it seems like something, she gave me a creme. I was not sure without any examination of the condition that my problem was that. I had to ask and beg her to do a blood test. However, I told her I ve been to Egypt, I have a dog so it could be million things, the blood test was taken to see if I allergic to like nuts… 😵‍💫 no common sense. My condition was getting better but still I have new spots. I tried to call and ask them for referral to a dermatologist urgently as my condition could be contagious 😷 I should not go to work and spread if this is something serious 😅 I was told they want to see me before any referral ./ I dont get it, such a waste of time as I ve been there, they could not offer any help to my condition and I ve sent pictures how my face and hands looks like, horror pictures/ So I tried to call them for same day appointment. They offered for another day, only one day which was not suitable for me as I have to work . They dont even try to be understanding, but they want you to understand everything. Asked another one, and they said they have nothing within a month in such a rude way. I was told to call them between 8-8:30 or 11:30-12:00 to get same day. Next day I tried to call them 11:30-12:00 because 8 in the morning I was at work and I didn’t had the chance hold the line for 30minutes. I was told they do not provide same day appointment. Such a joke. I called them today 8:20 , got answer 9:45 and I was told they cant give me appointment for today as all are gone. Now I really dont know where to go next as I dont get any help from them just like in 2-3 weeks. So disgusting and upsetting, literally you can just die on your own.

  2. Review titled Phone call

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 April 2024

Following triage from 111 they advised I needed to contact my GP and be seen/spoken to with 2 hours. Regardless of the automated message of “we are at full capacity” it says hold if you still wish to speak to someone. 22minutes later the phone keep ringing and ringing and no one answers. Now I need to take what could be an unnecessary trip to a&e. You need an alternative way of contact if you cannot answer the phone for situations like this. And if a doctors note is required so not to waste time!!!!

  4. Review titled Poor service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Ann - Posted on 13 March 2024

I have been with this surgery for 3 years and this is the second time I have contacted them for myself. I lost my mom 2 weeks and had to travel to my country due to that. I have been unable to work due to stress and wanted to sort out a sick certificate prior to that. I was told it would be back dated and was asked to call after I got back since I didn’t get an appointment. The online appointment system is good for but not good enough when someone is going through stressful situation such as this. I returned on Monday evening and have been trying since Tuesday (two days) and haven’t managed to get an appointment yet to sort out the sick certificate. I had to call the surgery and was told by the receptionist that there is no other way I could request apart from online. I was also told that I had to login in before 8am to be in the queue. Sadly there seems to be no sympathy to someone who is going through this difficult time. I want to get back to normality but the system doesn’t allow you to. Something needs to be set up for someone going through grievance.

  5. Review titled Nice GP but Don’t phone for Appointments

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 February 2024

I have been with this surgery for 4 years now. The GP is nice and the staff are polite and helpful. However, the appointment process is getting worse.. I used to be able to phone and after a little while receptionist answered my call to book my appointment. But now the booking process has all changed to online, it’s not successful to book appointments as the bookings have reached their capacity for the day, I wasn’t asking for a booking ‘that day’ but to book my appointment in the weeks ahead. After phoning and waiting in queue 6th caller down and 50mins later the phone cut off, than range back to find I was 9th in the queue. :( So was quite disappointing! so I would recommend just going into the surgery (if able to) if you are looking to book an appointment. Other than that the GP is a nice surgery.

  6. Review titled Happy New patient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kaz - Posted on 15 September 2023

I am a new patient of Church Lane surgery, I had to move Surgery because my old Surgery just wasn’t giving me the care I needed, l have only seen a Doctor twice in 4 years, the receptionists were very rude and uncaring, I could never get an appointment. I’ve had 2 telephone appointments in 4 years, so something had to change as I’m getting older and problems with my health were getting neglected, so I popped into Church Lane surgery, I was observing how the receptionists were talking to the patients, I also saw there was a full waiting room! That was never the case at my old Surgery, if I would pop in there to try to get an appointment the waiting room was always completely empty every time, so I was very impressed to see they were seeing patients, I asked the receptionist if I could join the practice she said, of course you can, she was extremely pleasant and very very helpful, I have been with this surgery less than 10 days and already my medication has been sorted. I’ve had a face-to-face with a Doctor Who was extremely nice. I have an advance face-to-face booked for this month. A referral letter was written for the hospital all in one day. I left there with a full heart, l felt like I had been listened to cared for and respected, I am an extremely polite person and I expect the same back, I am pleased to say that l got that from Church Lane surgery, the only negative is the car park is rather small, A very big thank you to everyone at Church Lane surgery for making my visit so pleasant and taking good care of me and my health, Kind regards Kaz

  7. Review titled Upsetting

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Greg cox - Posted on 22 June 2023

Because of my mental and also physical issues to do with left foot and ankle random swelling troubles, plus random numbness in my left arm, my appointment was 14: 10, on the 21st of June, as I also had fallen over 3 times within 4 or 5 weeks, but this appointment did not go to well as the doctor who I spoke to did not mention anything about this, why ever not?, also I am not getting much support during the day, as I have not received a call from the nurse this week, who has been contacting me each week for several weeks, as it is now the support I desperately need because of my problems which are my unwanted mental health and annoying physical ones, which has left me in a desperate situation, also I have heard no more about a p.c.n nurse which I was told about as this was a communication from n.h.s 111 to my surgery. Now my last review was a glowing one, although I still regard this surgery as kind and lovely, but now I am feeling beyond depression, as i feel nobody cares about me which I hope that I'm wrong, but my deep depression is every day.

  8. Review titled Lovely surgery.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Greg - Posted on 17 May 2023

Without this kind and caring support I am receiving from this wonderful surgery, yes, every professional at the surgery is kind and caring to me, as I'm going through a very distressing time. I just cannot thank these wonderful professionals enough who are giving me the lovely supportive weekly calls that are helping me greatly, thank you all so much, I do not feel alone, not anymore. Also the patient caring professional receptionists, when I explain my issues with them. Without this brilliant care and support, I would be lost. I wish to say, thank you all dearly for your understanding kindness and care. Thank you so much, this is so much appreciated.
