It is almost impossible to get an appointment with a GP at this practice. The receptionist needs to know exactly what is wrong with you (in detail) before the receptionist decides if you can have an appointment in 10 days' time.

After my heart procedure in October At St Thomas’ Hospital I have contacted the practice 4 times this week for prescription of 2 of the 4 medications I have run out of…and still no renewal …this is very distressing..

I visited Connaught Square Practice to request a call from a GP which was put into effect within 2 days. Further, an x-ray appointment was immediately offered to me due to the very painful experiences of sciatica I was having. Had my x-ray today and I just want to express my sincerest appreciation for the care and attention received. Many thanks. Madelyn

This practice was great a few years ago, but now has become disgusting. Be ready for the phone to be picked up and then immediately shut, be told multiple different things, requests are never answered. No practice manager for a while now. I tried to be patient with this practice but now all i will say is It needs to be shut down as they can not serve their patients.

I called to make an appointment for a blood test the person I usually see was not available until 20th September I told the receptionist I didn’t have any of my medication left she said a prescription would be sent to the pharmacy within 48 hours. That phone call was picked up after waiting for 40 minutes. The prescription didn’t arrive. 5 days later on Monday I called the surgery another long delay the receptionist said prescriptions can’t be taken over the phone I must go into the surgery. I went in on Monday at approximately 10am it’s not Wednesday 3pm still no prescription. I put a review on Google I have had a reply stating my call was picked up after 3 minutes. Who on earth is looking at these reviews and answering by lies. It’s absolutely terrible. I have been with this practice for many years and seldom needed to use it but now I do it’s absolutely terrible.

Been waiting for a phone call consultation for my Mom , that I’ve begged them to please be in person , they said one time originally and then I called to ask them , first the receptionist was very rude talking over me , saying the doctor is calling my mom next I’ve been waiting for 3 hours to receive the call and still nothing ! That’s not the first time that it happened they also lost my moms exams results last year , I’ve been asking them for a ultrasound for her liver for 2 years because of her liver condition they just ignored it completely! The staff think they are clinicians when they are not and try to determine whether appointments should be given or not. The phone is never answered in a timely manner and also there is a lack of communication between the staff.

Don’t waste your time dealing with this gp please. They even don’t deserve a star. Even if you’re seriously ill, they won't entertain you unless you have proof of appoinment, which in my case, I will probably already have recovered from when I get the date. I just need to see the gp, probably for only 5 minutes. I totally understand that it's clinical practise to have a physical assessment when you want them to prescribe an antibiotic, but when your patient is already around, I don't think it's appropriate to ask the patient to go home and come again when you've already booked. If I knew this would be the case, I would definitely go to uclh, wait patiently at e&a, see the doctor, and have your problem solved that day.

It is almost impossible to get an appointment or communicate with the staff at this GP, and I have been told not to come in multiple times even when I am experiencing pain. I also have had medical records lost by this GP (results from an MRI scan) which was a stressful experience.

I don’t recommend this place. Calling them results in holding for circa 30 minutes if they answer at all, and then the rude receptionists forget they aren’t doctors and try to doctor. I should also mention if you do manage to make it in to the surgery, there is absolutely zero privacy when speaking to these receptionists. The doctors repeatedly do not listen and fob you off to a chemist and miss key diagnostic issues. I have had a call from a non doctor posing as a doctor. They refuse to see patients even on the advice of consultants. If you are genuinely ill and need actual doctoring for a diagnosis, this isn’t the place for you.

This surgery continually blocks you from self help by not making any appointments available online, you call and cant get thru or get 'attitude' from receptionist. You cant even message them out of hours (everything at their convenience, not the patients!) They also keep chopping and changing which messaging and patient service system they use - the NHS app, patient knows best, systemonline, patchs etc
