  1. Review titled Great care from doctor and practice manager

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Shobi - Posted on 09 April 2024

The Practice manager has been helpful in resolving a communication issue when my son was unwell and helped get him seen urgently. The doctor was great and attentive and provided the appropriate treatment. Thank you so much for your help and for listening!

  2. Review titled Limited service and doing their job for them

Rated 1 star out of 5

I want to book a follow up appointment and they said unless I'm elderly I'd have to login via patches to get an appointment. What's happened to just walking in the surgery to book an appointment for 2 weeks time no matter what age you are. Sad times for the GP Surgery

  3. Review titled Caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have only recently joined this GP surgery. Such a big improvement from my last GP. The staff here are caring and helpful. Even though it must have been quite busy, they listened to me and was able to help me right away without me having to call back or chase them up. Well done to them and hope they continue to provide the same level of patient care and concern. Personally, I found the Patchs system was very useful to request appointment with the GP which saved me having to call at 8am and managed to an appointment the same day. Well done guys!

  4. Review titled Computer Doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called to make a routine enquiry and make an appointment, should be simple enough. I explained what was required and was told I had to use Patches, I explained I had no clue what this was as I was not aware of any changes. The receptionist would not listen to me nor would she explain what was likely to happen with "Patches" and got me so frustrated as I explained as clearly as possible what was required. The receptionist just rambled on about Patches as if I was aware and that you go online at 08.00 to make an appointment and when they are gone that is it, only call if it is an emergergency and then you may have a chance of an appointment. I had a previous issue with the staff here and was told to call 111, I did this and apologised to them on behalf of the health centre. I spoke with 111 and they contacted the health centre and approx 20 minutes later I got a call from the doctor. I should not need to involve 111 services to make an appointment. Returning to todays call and I get a call from the manager as requested as I am writing this and as the manager actually listened to my request though unable to answer the query arranged for a call for this in 3 days time. I would just ask a simple question and that is if someone is old and no computer what is their options, to me it looks like there is no choice now. Also if no one comes to you and tells you all about this all singing all dancing "Patches" how is anyone meant to know what they are referring to. Now when you call the centre you clearly hear the message " we are moving towards an econsult service as this is the preferred way to request a clinicians appointment". When I spoke with the manager she said they are not using that now and it is "Patches", please can patients be updated with all of these changes as I hear the message saying "econsult" and believe this is what I have to do when in fact that new way is out of date.

  5. Review titled Very difficult to get appointments now

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Used to be easy and simple to get an appointment with the online system. Now it's nearly impossible as there is only a 30 minute window from 8am-8:30am to book one. if you miss that then it's a struggle! Crazy that it's this difficult.

  7. Review titled Excellent clinical care provided

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Visited the practice to undergo a procedure which I was very anxious about given my previous experiences. I would firstly like to thank the receptionist who booked me in for my procedure, so patient, understanding and caring, helped to put my mind at ease. Secondly, the two nurses who supported me throughout the course of the procedure, they were absolutely amazing. I’m so thankful for their kindness, support and compassion during my visit, so sympathetic and really reassuring. Their caring clinical practice meant the procedure was so less daunting and thankfully seamless. I really was in the best care and had nothing to worry about. Thankyou again, feel blessed to be registered with such a great practice and such wonderful, caring and professional staff.

  8. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The first thing that appealed to us, though insignificant from a quality of care perspective, was the call back facility. I’ve heard of people holding for hours however this surgery just calls you back when you are closer to being attended to. The receptionists have always been polite and helpful and always been accommodating when they hear it’s for my toddler. Our experience with the doctors and nurses (for vaccinations) has been really good as well. Most of our interactions have been with one of the doctors who has always been patient, helpful and very understanding that we are new parents. Most of the appointments have been for my daughter, but he has always been open to giving us advice for ourselves as well during the consultations for our daughter.
