  1. Review titled Very bad practice

Do you know to get an emergency appointment you have to fill out a form online wait 48hrs for a triage call before you are booked to see a GP. I had to call 111 for my daughter. She is now been treated. I do know that is a lot of strain on the NHS, but the process is very dangerous for people who just carry on through their pain or illness and trust the system. The reception staff are very unfriendly but that is expected when they have to enforce such a process. some of the doctors are really nice and explain things to you. Overall, I have tried changing my GP to a good one but its not in my catchment area. It would be very sad if I have to call 111 for my children emergency appointment

Thank you for your feedback and highlighting the service and process that we have been running very successfully for some time. You have not given details about yourself and your daughter so we can not investigate your case further. If you wish to do so please email us directly on isleworth.pracice@nhs.net with your details. Meanwhile, the process that you describe is one that GP practices across the country have been required to follow for some time. This is designed so that patients access the most appropriate care for their needs and with the correct clinician. Given that surgeries now have a wide array of clinicians this may mean that someone other than a GP may be more appropriate for a specific case. We have implemented a system that based on the results and feedback from patients and staff has been effective and responsive given the extreme demand and limited resources that all GP surgeries currently face. We would point out that although 48 hours response time is what we advertise the vast majority of patients do get an urgent appointment with a clinician within hours and not days of their request. We would also remind you that GP practices are not an emergency service provider. If and when patients face life threatening symptoms and any further delay means further problems they should, as you have done, contact 111 who can advise on the most appropriate emergency service to contact. You mention that you have been unsuccessful in registering at another practice. We are sorry that you have found the efforts from our team unsatisfactory and to see you leave us. However, you will be able to identify another GP practice to register at by using this link : https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp Once again we are sorry that you found that our services do not meet your families needs. If you want to share specific details we can investigate things further so that we can identify and learn from any unintended issues. Take care from the team at the Isleworth Practice.

  3. Review titled Not a great service and completely let down

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Asked for the gp to refer me to a psychiatry uk under "right to choose" in July 2022. There were some required test which I did and these were supposed to be sent to psychiatry uk but never was. I understand there is a long waiting list for adhd diagnosis and I was prepared to wait under the belief that I was on the list...After chasing the doctor surgery for confirmation that correspondence and necessary paper work/results, psychiatry uk emailed me back - "We did not receive all the information of service requirements. - These are outlined when a Gp makes a referral, and we outlined these again in our response. We had no response from your Gp Surgery. The information that was missing was a medical summary. " I don't ask for help much but this is frustrating and I feel utterly let down. I will be moving my family to another Gp surgery.

I called surgery this morning at 8am and I was caller nmbr 11 it tooks 45mnts to get through them and at the end they said we will send u a link and explain ur medical problem in there. It says someone will be in touch with u with in next 3 days which is completely rubbish,I have a problem now I can’t wait 3 days.I know I can call 111 or I can go emergencies in hospital but I prefer to go to my surgery rather than hospital and wait for 5 to 6hrs. Iam not happy at all with this surgery they don’t put patients priority first they just give excuses and trying to get rid of the people. They are not helpful at all.New patients please do not register urself in here.

Dear Tirmon, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations when accessing NHS primary care services. The system you refer to is a new way of making an appointment which you would learn about when calling the practice or visiting our website. In line with NHS national requirements, we now need to ensure that all patients can access the most appropriate member of our team or other services and as quickly as possible. Therefore, we need some more details about the problem and symptoms in order to meet your needs. As you know we investigate any feedback as far as we can. In looking into your records and the phone calls you have made we can see the following: • You called the surgery at 8.04 a.m. whilst waiting on the line you would have heard information on how to book an appointment and would be offered the option to receive a text message with a link to the online form to complete as well as the address of our website where you could access the form. • You chose to wait 43 minutes before a call back from one of the reception team. • The receptionist then sent you the same link to the same form had you chosen that option whilst waiting on the line. • At 8.46 a.m. you received the link. • You completed and returned the form at 8.58 a.m. • We then assessed your needs based on the information you gave us and decided that seeing a GP for a face to face appointment was the best option for you. • We then sent you a message at 9.21 a.m. with a link to book an appointment at a convenient time for yourself. • You then booked an appointment for 11.50 a.m. and you were seen by the GP at 12.08 p.m. Therefore, you were seen by a GP in some 4 hours of your original call. We cannot see how we could have improved on this level of service and how you have reached the conclusion that our team of dedicated professionals are delivering a bad service. If there is any way you can provide us more details about how we could improve our primary care services then please let us know by sending us an email to isleworth.practice@nhs.net Take care from the team at the Isleworth Practice.

  5. Review titled The worst service in my life

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anna - Posted on 27 February 2023

the worst service in my life, in the previous place I did not have such problems, but I moved and I had to change the GP. They never answer the phone. Today I waited over an hour, I was 11 in line, when I was already 2 I was disconnected. They never have free visits, there is never a doctor. When I wanted to make an urgent appointment for my child, I was offered to call the doctor next week.

  6. Review titled Argyle Health Isleworth Practice

When you call for an appointment you are told the practice is fully booked and to call back. I was told to call back 6 weeks later to book an appointment 2 nonetheless from the time I called. This is absolutely ridiculous. Poor management system. If patients need to see a doctor or nurse they should not be told to call back months later. The practice has accepted too many patients, pocketing from each one but yet they are not able to manage the needs of their patients. This is unacceptable and needs to be looked into. Every single one of my family member have issues with this GP Surgury. Avoid it!

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry if this has been your experience in using the services at the Isleworth Practice. We are not aware of what you are describing in this review and would very much like to hear back from you and explore the circumstances in more detail. Please could you send us an email to isleworth.practice@nhs.net. For your information we offer a range of appointments with a multidisciplinary team of primary care experts. We are not aware of anyone having to wait 6 weeks before they can have an appointment, unless of course this may be for a service that is not covered under the NHS such as a private medical examination for an insurance claim or a taxi medical. We prioritise NHS health services. For private health services such as these there are alternative local providers that our colleagues should have told you about at the time you contacted us. However, if you are referring to an appointment for an NHS service looking at the waiting times for the next available appointments if you wanted to book an appointment today, if you wanted a routine appointment with a GP you had to wait 4 days, if you wanted a nurses appointment you would wait 4 days, if you wanted a blood test appointment you would wait 1 day, if you wanted an appointment with our stop smoking service you would wait 3 days, if you wanted an appointment with our Pharmacist you would wait 1 day, if you wanted an appointment with our musculoskeletal clinician you would have waited 4 days. It may of course be that from your experience we were unable to offer you an appointment at a time and date that was convenient to you. However, at the time of writing this response we are able to offer appointments well within normal waiting times. In addition we also provide same day appointments but up to a certain capacity. You also mention that all of your family have the same problem. We would welcome them getting in touch with us as well at the same email address so that we can investigate the difficulties they all have been having and see how we can meet their health needs. We hope this explains things and look forward to hearing from you all with more details. Take care from the team at the Isleworth Practice.

  7. Review titled Awful phone consultation

Rated 1 star out of 5

Couldn't book on the app because "no available appointments at this time" or any time. Called the automated service to be told no appointment available and then cut off. This took 20 mins of being sent in circles. Called 111 in the end and got a telephone appointment with a rude doctor who didn't seek at all interested in my issue that has been long standing and very concerning. I'm very disappointed to have spoken to in such a rude manner about a sensitive matter. If the call was recorded, please take note of how little I was able to say due the ongoing badgering by the doctor who kept saying that I needed to call a specialist as the practice is GP only. By the way, the specialist had rold me to contact the GP! If you become a doctor, surely speaking with some level of kindness is part of the role? I will be moving to another practice

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We apologise for the experience that you have had with one of our GPs. We would welcome if you contacted us directly with more details as to your name, the date of your appointment so that we can investigate this further. Please send us an email to : isleworth.practice@nhs.net. In respect to making an appointment on the NHS app or through our telephone booking system we apologise if you were not able to make a booking. This would depend on what time of day you were trying to make the booking. Such is the demand on all GP practices that same day emergency appointments get booked up quickly each day. We apologise for the poor experience that you have had and look forward to getting your email soon so that we can investigate things further and ensure our services are further improved. Take care from the team at the Isleworth Practice.
