Just give you appointments withave nurses who don't know what they are doing. Causes more damage than good. Aware that the manager would say this is anonymous but he must take this seriously. Doctors are great so no complaint about them.

  2. Review titled Unprofessional and extremely rude

Rated 1 star out of 5

Firstly, I cannot get anyone to answer my call. As a high risk patient, my repeat prescriptions are never sent to pharmacy on time and told to go to A&E for all problems. Absolutely disgusted with overall performance and quality of service. Won't recommend to anyone!

  4. Review titled I want a face to face appointment if I request it

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 March 2023

I have requested a face to face appointment. I do not want a call back - I want a time when I will see the dr for a 10-20 min appointment. It is easier for me to schedule in a time that I can be off work that a 4 hour window that a quick appointment. And, I do Not want the call to be recording. How dare you think it is acceptable to record medical appointments. I am not recorded when I am inside the appointments but you somehow think it is acceptable to breach my privacy to record the calls. You think Drs deserve a pay rise. You are all lazy doing phone calls not seeing patients face to face if they request it.

Had a phone call last week to call the practise to book a medical review for my son who has a learning disability. Tried calling three days running could not get through. Went to the practise this morning in the bad weather . Was told at reception she did not know how to book it would phone me in half a hour still no phone call. What is the use of having someone at reception who does not know how to book things

  6. Review titled I wish I could give -5 stars

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff at reception, they regularly hang up the phone if they don’t like the questions that don’t fit their narrative or you challenge them on something. Even if you managed to get trough a doctor or a nurse the patient care is appalling and most of the time the problems are left unresolved and you have to look for other ways to take care of yourself. You have to always beg for things to be done on their side! Getting a antidepressant prescription was a nightmare every 2 months. Enough is enough I’m leaving this GP practice!

We apologies for your experience. The prescription are two monthly and good practice guidelines are followed for safety of patient, hence the two monthly reviews. We are sorry to see you leave our practice and thank you for the opportunity to allow us to be your GP for time you were with us.

  7. Review titled Horrifying

Rated 1 star out of 5

I'm having to leave the practice after only a couple of months because the lack of support and professionalism has been so upsetting. After I registered in-person they told me I would receive a letter inviting me to a new patient consultation within a week, nothing ever arrived - after 3 weeks I called them and asked to be seen and they invited me to meet with the nurse. All the staff have been very rude - often walking away while I am mid-sentence and cutting me off while I am saying hello, I have felt humiliated every time I have been in-person and on the phone. This week I needed to talk to a GP about a pregnancy-related issue and they have refused to book me a GP appointment, instead insisting that pregnant people must all see the nurse instead. I've tried to explain the matter is more appropriate for a GP at which point they demand I give them my medical symptoms - it's completely humiliating, I've cried myself to sleep the past 3 nights. On top of this each time they tell me someone will call they have called outside of the hours they told me (they said someone will call between 10-12 and both days I missed a call at 9 and then today at 12:30) - i've been cancelling meetings at work to try and be by my phone and still haven't been able to get any healthcare, including from their nurses. At this stage I've been without a GP for several months and have been denied any care at 3 months pregnant from the GP practice. I'm at a complete loss as to what to do now and am horrified by the malpractice. I also believe the refusal to allow me to see a GP is based on my pregnancy status which is direct discrimination. I had seen some horrible reviews but assumed they were perhaps unlucky one-offs... no one gets all perfect reviews after all. But this GP surgery is truly horrifying. They will humiliate you and refuse you appropriate care (especially if you are pregnant, absolutely avoid this practice), save yourself the emotional turmoil of ever dealing with them and choose another provider if you're able.

  8. Review titled Please don't register here.

So, so, bad. I know some may read these comments and think that we are the ‘few’ who had some bad luck with Jai medical centre, but the reality is that we’re the few who chose to express our experience online. Unfortunately, we are not in the minority, this general practice is really, really bad. Prior to the pandemic this general practice was very shambolic (I state this to emphasise that their failures are not due to the pressures of COVID). And now that they have expanded, things have gotten even worse - which is really hard to believe but true. I have been waiting for vital medical information for almost 6 months. Each time I call, I am greeted with rudeness (from managers as well as receptionists). The one time I spoke to a GP they spoke over me in a rush to finish the call- I felt dismissed and totally overlooked. You will see under most negative comments here, the response from Jai Medical Centre is something like: 'We have a grievance procedure and due to the anonymity of this comment we can't address/ rectify the issue.' The irony is that Jai medical centre do not even follow this so-called procedure. They do not reply to emails or call you back when promised, the staff (including managers and medical professionals) provide sub-par customer service and get defensive when questioned...it's like they just do not care about people anymore (and they barely cared to start with). They’re supposed to be a positive support within the community- instead they’re becoming the opposite of that. How is it possible for an unprofessional, negligent health care provider to still be permitted to practice like this? It's beyond me. I'm now looking into registering elsewhere. I really recommend anyone reading this do the same- for the safety of your mental and physical wellbeing.
