    I spent ages waiting for my phone calls to be answered, waiting up to 50 minutes many times. After complaining when I got through I was told they are very busy and understaffed and I was lucky to get through to speak to someone. My daughter also phoned a number of times and the phone message said she was number one in the queue. She waited over 30 minutes a number of times as caller number 1 in the queue and nobody answered the phone. I think they just can't be bothered to answer the phone calls. A terrible service.

    Dear patient, I am sorry to read you have had difficulty accessing the surgery via phone.     I was trying to make an appointment for my grand daughter & when I explained our situation, the reception lady was understanding & tried very hard to arrange an appointment that my grand daughter could make as she is at school. Thank you!

    Spoke to a lovely associate this morning when I was unable to get through to the prescription team and the associate was extremely helpful in assisting with my needs. It is refreshing to see such kind attention despite the amount of pressure surgeries encounter so I am most grateful.

    Econsult is a great idea, however I was given an appointment that I could not attend. All I wanted to do was change it. Four phone calls where I am 'number 1' in the queue but actually on hold for 25 mins each time. Three out of four times, someone answered and then put me straight back on hold. At which point I gave up. Website says use the online form to contact them but the link just goes to the phone number and the address. I honestly don't know how else to change my appointment.

  8. Review titled It is impossible to get an appointment

    I have been with this practice for 15+ years. It used to be amazing! Some years ago all changed suddenly with the triage system. It takes a very long time to get an appointment, I am talking weeks! Seems to me that practice is well oversubscribed with patients and they simply cannot cope. Most recent experience - My 6 year old daughter is struggling from severe ear infection where puss and blood is coming out of her ear and it takes them 2 weeks to give us the test results. In the meantime she has no antibiotics or anything to help her. Absolutely ridiculous and failure practice and I hope that my review will get into the right hands for this practice to be properly investigated into the service they provide. I pay a lot of money for NI and this is not the service I am expecting to get.

    Rang the surgery this afternoon after being ill for a few weeks. Used the call back service which was so useful. Spoke with a really lovely lady who found me a phone appointment for the same day. Doctor called back and actioned some activities for me. Very pleased.

    I have been with longrove surgery for 20 odd years and i think the main problem is inconsistency due to allowing too many patients to see ,most of the doctors and nurses are very good but i still think someof the receptionists are not well trained and lack customer care ,i think the pressure is too great , i am moving away from the area and i must say it would be a relief not having to contact longrove for an appointment
