Phoned for an appointment and was given one with the Nurse two hours later. Discussion, examination, medication advised and now home feeling a lot better. Given pointers for preventing problem in future. Didn't feel rushed. Can't ask for more

  2. Review titled Never worth the journey

Rushed appointments with little to no help, GPs are unsympathetic especially if you are looking for mental health support They also lied to me a couple of months ago & said they couldn't refer me to Mind themselves because it's a private charity. So I reached out to Mind & was told that isn't the case & that they in fact have had referrals from this practice before, so why was I told otherwise?

  3. Review titled Really friendly practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I've just gone in for my cervical screening, it was really easy to book and I was able to get an appointment really quickly. The receptionist when I arrived was really friendly and helpful as I registered for their online booking system. The nurse I saw was really warm and welcoming making me feel at ease, giving me all the relevant information and then the procedure itself which isn't the most pleasant of procedures was over quickly which was a relief. With all the struggles the NHS is going through it was nice to see how friendly the staff were despite how stretched they must be.

So difficult to get an appointment, which I understand is the case with most surgeries now, however, the GP I saw was not friendly and was totally disinterested.

  5. Review titled Awful Surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

It is impossible to get an appointment. Every time I ring when it turns 8.30am not a second after and am always told the appointments have gone after being on hold. The receptionists on the whole are rude and have an attitude about them. Could not even get an appointment for my unwell child. Disgraceful.

I am sorry to hear that you have been unable to book an appointment for your unwell child. I would be very keen to investigate this fully as a number of options could have been discussed with you if we were fully booked. I am sorry you find the reception team to be rude, again this is difficult to investigate without further information. Please can you write to me at the surgery so I can investigate. You can address your letter to Carrie Walsh, Practice Manager or if you would prefer you can submit the complaint via our website. I am also happy to discuss issues over the phone if they are of an urgent nature. I would like to reassure you that your future care would not be affected if you raise a complaint. In case you do not wish to take this further please see some information that may be useful regarding our service. As well as the two GPs working per day who provide on average 390, 10-minute appointments per week between them. We also have access to the extended access service who provide appointments outside of our regular working hours with GP’s, Minor Illness Nurses, Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. Appointments can be booked by phone, face-to face and there is some availability online. All appointments are released at the same time to all platforms. We also provide an eConsultation service during the hours of 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday via our website www.thesollershottsurgery.nhs.uk/ Again, I am sorry to hear you have had a bad experience at The Sollershott Surgery and I hope to hear from you soon.
