We would very much like to express our gratitude and thanks to the practice. It was mid afternoon last Friday and I was aware that capacity would have been reached several hours previously. My sister to whom I am a full time carer, is quite complex to deal with in the community. She was in great discomfort and had become extremely distressed and I was at a loss of how to help her. I can't put into words what a difference the receptionist we got through to made. This lovely lady was empathetic and at no time was she ever dismissive. She was patient and listened, she suggested several ways to help me and when these weren't possible she put us on the list to be triaged without any fuss and made it very clear what would happen next. It was a most welcome experience at a very stressful time. We received a call from a GP within the hour and again was treated with kindness. This Dr also went the extra mile, thinking outside of the box and prescribing items that over the weekend made a world of difference, enabling my Sister to cope with the situation and bringing her welcome relief. I have been with this practice all my life which is over 50 years. We have experienced many changes and like everyone else have sometimes found it challenging to adapt. However, the support we receive from the surgery is exceptional and without this it would be impossible for me to manage her in the community. We feel very lucky to have some amazing people fighting our corner. Thank you again.

Your Review: One of the doctors, (not one I'd met) was reviewing a recent set of routine blood tests for me, and noticed a very small deterioration in one of the figures. As a result, my prescription needed to be altered and my results are now normal. It is very reassuring to me that such background checks are being done with such attention detail: it would be so easy for a small deviation amongst many to be missed. I am very grateful to the doctor, and to Peartree Surgery.

Called with urgent problem and although all daily appointments were gone given same day time to see Practice nurse who was able to prescribe me antiobotics. Really impressed with everyone I dealt with.

I have been trying to get an appointment for my son for the past week, there is never any appointments to offer even if you call early in the morning. They eventually offered an appointment for a months time away this is appalling service some issues can not wait a month and require investigations to start as it’s not always as simple as one doctors appointment to get the issue solved.

Patients are expected to try for non-urgent appointment every morning by calling or by going online until they get one. After variable time period in the morning, the appointment booking is closed everyday. Even non-urgent appointment booking process is suspended. I will have to try everyday even if I need the appointment in a months time or later. Is this not unavoidable anymore?

I had been having trouble with the pharmacy I normally get my repeat prescriptions from for some months now. They ordered items I did not need, or completely forgot to submit a repeat prescription. I contacted the surgery and spoke to one of the prescription clerks. She was incredibly helpful and very understanding. She submitted a prescription and changed the pharmacy for me. Can’t thank her enough.

I initially contacted the surgery regarding Covid symptoms and for advice as my asthma symptoms had worsened. I was contacted almost immediately, the GP was very reassuring and helpful. I went on to develop post covid syndrome/long covid and received excellent care and support. Everyone from the receptionist to the GP’s have been supportive and caring, I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice.

I wish to thank the entire Peatree Lane and Moors Walk Nursing Team for the excellent care provided to me from January until May following a minor procedure. The whole team are a credit to the practice and the NHS.

I’ve been using The Peartree practice for 25 years and I can truly say it’s gotten better with age, gone are the long waiting time when trying to get an appointment or Triage call, prescription sent more or less straight away, continuity with Dr’s. Keep up the good work- thank you so much.
