  1. Review titled Avoid at all cost

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My family and I, are part of this surgery due to the fact it’s the nearest one to us. However, if you are able too, go to another one. The receptionist are rude and entitled. My mother was waiting ages for an appointment to see a doctor who was with a patient for more than 40 minutes… yes I understand that delays happen but allocate her to another doctor atleast. They have quite a few who work there. Other patients were seen before her, she only needed to get antibiotics. The lack of communication is poor, they told her it’ll be delayed by 15/20 mins… surprise surprise, it was delayed by 40mins. At least update your patients again, to say it’ll be delayed even further. People have places to be and not just sat waiting around at the GP. Even getting an appointment is a struggle. Funny part of this was a male receptionist I believe, tried to explain they don’t tolerate abuse at the surgery. At no point was I abusive or aggressive, so please train your staff and get them to learn the meaning of it. Absolute weirdos the lot of them. Giggling and talking about things that are not medical related. I couldn’t care less if someone in your family is getting married to be frank! Unprofessional. Get some new people in asap!

  2. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

Promises made that urgent referrals had been soon weeks ago only to find out that they hadn’t. I’d imagine that most of us don’t want ‘special service’ but we do demand professionalism and honesty. Disappointed is an understatement

Never given face to face appointment. Unhelpful staff. Poor service. 3 years old child with throat and chest infection was give telephone appointment and without physical examination, it is unlikely to get proper service.

  5. Review titled Impractical & Rude

Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery’s receptionists are rude and they have a ‘rule’ that only one patient per household can book an appointment each day and it’s the responsibility of the household members to prioritise which medical condition is most urgent for that day to take the appointment. They also claim this has been a rule across all NHS GPs for 2 years and it’s the first I’m hearing of it. It’s impractical and borderline (or perhaps completely) unethical to be refused medical care simply because more than one person in a household exists. This was also never made clear on any paperwork upon registration.

  6. Review titled Very bad customer service from receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called for an appointment and after about 15 minutes in the queue, the line got disconnected. Called again and after over 18 minutes on the queue the line got disconnected. Called again and after 1hr20mins got connected to the receptionist. After the initial conversation, the receptionist was rude when I query why I was put on hold as I was not informed they were doing so. They got defensive when I raised my query and put the phone down. Their excuse was "Do you want to listen to the conversation between me and the doctor". Surely if they are talking to someone else, they should inform the patient waiting on the phone and then put them on hold. I ended up having to drive to the surgery to get a phone number for the emergency eye clinic. The doctors are good but the receptionist let the whole service down.
