Todays appointment saw the dr telling me to pay for private blood tests as they won’t do them and then disagreeing with a specialist teams diagnosis and refusing to do anything to get to the bottom of why I am so unwell

I registered with the Highbridge Practice [something you have to do to play a symphony] 18 months ago and I am yet to see a doctor [I do not even know my assigned doctor's name] ... do they have any, or do they farm out prescription signing to locums working from home?. The booking system used [allegedly] is called Patient First and it does just that - tests your patience from the outset ... it does not help the patients, it is just an additional barrier to try and stall the patient getting the care they need. In June this year I used this system and for my efforts [filling in a prolonged and personal form which had to be sent over the internet and dodge the pitfalls thereof ...] I have been graciously been awarded a telephone call from an unknown Doctor any time after 8.30am some 37 days later! - How long does it take to make a telephone call?? - and, as the condition is physical, I contend that I really need to be seen in person. While waiting for this appointment I have had reason to call the surgery about another pre-existing condition that needed a course of antibiotics, which a quick look at my notes could be clearly seen [and then a quick call over the telephone could have confirmed this and then, possibly could have been followed up in due course] but again Symphony Healthcare was unable to find a player at their end and this led me to get to and back from A&E at my expense and clog up the over-stretched NHS for 7 hours, in some considerable discomfort. [Guess what the hospital prescribed? ... a 5 day course of antibiotics!] The Covid pandemic has a lot to answer for - it appears to have given doctors an excuse for not seeing patients in person and Symphony Healthcare is culpable ... Symphony??? ... more like A Tune A Day.

  3. Review titled Worst possible practice

Since being taken over by Symphony Healthcare Martock and South Petherton Surgery has gone rapidly down hill. I booked for annual blood tests to be done at Martock after having to remind them of my tests, rather than them contacting me. Confirmed on phone Martock, they send a text and confirm South Petherton, have to ring cancel and rebook. This is happening to a lot of patients that I talk too. Doctors face to face appointments seem to be no existent, and if you check the roster they are hardly ever there. Not a service but a liability.

1st in phone queue but not offered doctor appointment for serious leg condition. Told if it went above knee to urgently see a doctor so next day 1st in telephone queue again but referred to clinition 3.5 hours later. Prescriptions are batched processed so had to wait nearly 3 hours to collect. A seriously worrying declining service
