  2. Review titled Disgusting

Rated 1 star out of 5

Reception are rude, they said the doctor will call back for my 2 year old but instead I received a message saying next time I should call the practice if I'm not planning to come in. Last week I went in because I have a consistent cough for over a month, the doctor was rude and condescending, she sent me home and told me to take hay fever tablets, even though she said I might have an infection in my throat. When I asked for general blood tests she said I look fine and it will cost them a lot of money to do the tests so she sent me home.. I will be moving to another practice. They are a disgrace

Turned up for an appointment and was left waiting 20 minutes over my time and then told by a receptionist that the Doctor had cancelled my appointment.

  4. Review titled Not Great at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

Wanted to actually speak to a Dr today, but was denied that by the receptionist, was asked why do I need to speak to a Dr. Personally, I found that very offending. I am concerned that a receptionist is able to look at my records and tell me that my recent treatment has not got back to them yet. Surely this is breaking Data Protection Act? I am seriously considering making a formal complaint to the GMC and leaving this surgery.

We are sorry that your experience with us has not been a positive one and can only apologise that your request was not handled as you expected. Reception staff are required to ask patients why they need to speak to or see a clinician so they can point the patient to the correct clinician. Please be assured that all staff are required to adhere to the General Data Protection Regulations and that all patient data is confidential. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us and ask to speak to the Complaints Manager.

Considering that all GP surgeries are under tremendous pressure, I believe that this practice provides excellent services and care. The admin staff are really friendly. The nurse practitioners and doctors are professional and kind and they go extra mile to help me and my family.

  9. Review titled Alienating and inefficient

Rated 2 stars out of 5

There are some fantastic receptionists, nurses and GPS here. However they make so many mistakes and make contacting them a misery as the system is so convoluted and inaccessible. They make no adjustments for sensory impairment or learning disabilities. I have been argued with so many times that l do not take medication that they have prescribed for years. Yesterday they referred me to 111 that they should be doing thus putting out of hours under wrongful pressure. I feel utterly dehumanised and worthless because of this flaky and reckless surgery. I have deliberately avoided contacting them even with severe symptoms like heavy bleeding as they are too difficult to deal with and pass the buck inappropriately.
