  1. Review titled diabolical surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

The main issues are that you can never obtain an appointment .Most recently ; been attempting to acquire an appointment for 2 weeks but still unable to even been offered one . Patches conversations are terminated and then the whole process has to be commenced from the beginning again .The ability to even request an appointment after Wed isn't even available. Telephone calls are terminated and not even answered once gaining first place in the stacking system never to speak to a human being . No answer machine recorded message to say phone call will not be answered. When visiting in person at 08:30 on a Monday morning having queued up outside for opening to obtain an appointment only to be told to visit the walk in centre . Unbelievable response and attitude to patients care . This surgery is failing dismally.

  2. Review titled No point having a surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

Qued up and heard reception rude to the person infront of me. As I approached they were speaking about him and I heard the words “can’t please anybody”. Attempted to get an appointment only to be told by a receptionist to explain what’s the matter. Didn’t even finish my sentence and was told no appointments until further notice. They didn’t even bother looking at the computers for future appointments. What’s the point having a doctor’s surgery if you have to tell reception personal problems for them decide if you need one or not.

  3. Review titled Positive and professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been to see a GP this morning at the Hethersett Practice. I just wanted to give the surgery some positive feedback in the midst of a difficult and negative time in the NHS. I, like most (hopefully) don’t enjoy coming to the GP practice for the fear of wasting valuable NHS time. Despite the GP likely having a full list for the day and with the added pressure of keeping to time, the appointment did not feel rushed. She demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with her friendly yet professional demeanour, along with ensuring that any of my concerns were met with reassuring words. She took the time to position herself in a way which meant she was speaking directly to me rather than at her computer screen, giving me her undivided attention. So I just wanted to thank the GP (name given to the manager at the practice) , and to make you as the practice aware of her good work, as the positives are not always communicated as frequently as the negatives.

  5. Review titled Left in disbelief

Rated 1 star out of 5

Been having trouble getting my HRT for months so been using different brands and suffering very low mood and sadness. Managed after half hour on the phone to get a call back from duty Dr. He basically just said what do I expect to get from the call? Also that I should know how I feel so can answer my own question, if I think switching round effect's me then it’s obviously that! Then said if I expected him to tell me my HRT would be available then he can’t. I was then told I don’t need oestrogen to live so just come off it if I’m not happy with it!!. I asked about an on going pain I have he replied I’d have to make an appointment to have it looked at! Thought that was what I had done this morning! He then said okay I’ll update your records and goodbye. I’ve never been so let down and disappointed. I have to now try and call back to see if I can maybe see a lady nurse or dr or just google and help myself. This service is ridiculous. I will just add that this is not the receptionist fault they have an incredibly hard job to try and look after everyone’s needs. The receptionist I spoke to had muck more compassion than the Dr and why the system is so broken isn’t their fault.

  6. Review titled Not a surgery could recommend

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After an appointment today on the 16/1/24 which the surgery said was due and I was told it would be with the nurse I arrived to find I was booked in to see the health care assistant for the review, we were late going in and then when we went in it took an hour to complete the tick box review and fill in some other important information for apparently for the doctor to read. I was told that because of some difficulties/ problems that we where experiencing the health care assistant had made us an appointment for telephone call appointment with a GP the following day which would be on Wednesday 18/ 01/24 I asked if they could maybe give me a time slot of when I might receive the call but alas this was not possible to give us a time slot so we waited in all day for a doctor to ring and it got to 4pm and still no call I tried to ring the surgery to ask if the appointment was still going ahead but I was 11 in the queue so I kept waiting and rang back about an hour later eventually getting to speak to someone to be told no appointment had been made so obviously I was quite upset about this as it was important to me that I was going to speak to GP who could help me because I feel desperate for some help but No it seems they say yes we’re going to help you but they don’t really want to or can’t be bothered to make an appointment for you even when they said that’s what they were going to do

  7. Review titled Uncontactable

Rated 1 star out of 5

After ringing 111 for my daughter and being told to contact the practice we were unable to get through simply in the queue for over half an hour both in the appointment line where no triage could take place as no one answered and the query line. When you do get to the front of the queue it then goes to a different sounding call queue where again you just sit... This is not the first time this has happened, unfortunately.

  8. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have just visited Hethersett Surgery for blood tests. The Healthcare Assistant I saw could not have been more kind or caring. I explained that I felt dizzy when having blood tests so she gave me the time I needed to recover. She took my blood pressure as I told her I had been feeling dizzy. I was also offered my flu jab that was due to be done the following day at Cringleford. The NHS at its best. Thank you.

  9. Review titled Doing a fantastic job

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had two excellent encounters with our local GP surgery recently. The receptionists are friendly and were kind when I was worried about my child. I've also seen one of the nurses and a GP recently and have received a great service. Considering the pressures the service is under they are doing a great job. Thank you.

  10. Review titled Awful - Mulbarton

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 August 2023

I have been trying to get an appointment for weeks at Mulbarton. I ring as soon as they open the phone lines and it always takes nearly an hour to get through. The Patches form online is never open or available so have to result to phone lines which everyone else has to do, meaning you are constantly on hold. After an age of waiting, I am told they have no appointments and to ring at 8am each day, which I have been doing for a long time. Those who operate the phones were extremely rude and said that they only deal with emergency appointments on Friday's, they couldn't help me and that if I wanted an non-emergency appointment to ring Mon,Tues, Weds or Thurs. I told them this was news to me and that I have not seen this announced on their website or social media. They were extremely dismissive and did not want to help. They then said if I wanted an appoiment, I'd have to travel to the surgery when the surgery opens in the morning. Not very helpful if you are immobile or work and still not guranteed an appointment. The A Dr I have seen in the past was also rude and dismissive and initially told me to 'just medicate' chest pains without investigating them. When I have been able to get appointments in the past, Dr's give conflicting advice and information. Stay clear of this surgery if you can get in somewhere else!
