    Today I emailed the practice for an asthma review and was phoned with in the hour and offered a cancellation app that same day. I met the new asthma nurse who was amazing, kind, listened to me, she cared and offered me a new perspective on my care. She supported me to look at a new care plan and a new medication. So friendly and kind. In addition to this - I phoned the practice today to make a GP phone appointment - I was called back today by a lovely GP, again I felt listened to - I was given all the correct help and advice and felt very good about the appointment. I needed to make some follow up blood and health checks and was in practice for my asthma review so took the opportunity to speak to the reception team - I was greeted by a lovely staff member who helped me navigate the advice I’d been given and supported me and found me 2 very convenient appointments - both with in a few days so I don’t have to wait weeks for tests. Overall I would say this is one of the best experiences I’ve had with any NHS branch. I felt valued and cared for. The team at Lakenham were amazing today !!!

    I'm a foster carer and I visited the surgery on 19/07/2022 during the heatwave with my 3 year old daughter and my underaged foster child. A welcomed us by saying get out you have no mask. She then offered a mask only to the underaged foster boy and asked me and my daughter to get out and wait in the heat. When I asked for a mask as it's too hot to wait outside with a child I was refused one also asked to leave the entrance. In a very impolite manner then A sent us out in the heat ridiculing us in front of other patients unecessarily with no sign of apology or understanding of what she was doing. It's a shame for the nurses and doctors that are great here to have this reception.

    I just wanted to say you have a fantastic office manager, he saw I was in trouble and he intervened and helped me. A massive thank you to you. Without your kindness and compassion, I was going to be fobbed off to a pharmacist.

    Dear patient, thank you for posting this review and we will be sure to make sure the member of staff is aware. We would add that patients are not 'fobbed off' to pharmacists, there are occasions when the highly trained NHS pharmacists are better suited to deal with a patient's medical needs and an appropriate referral is made to this service.     Sent an online form message late last night Doc called at 8:30am today. I missed it, she called back at 2pm, I got an appointment for 2:30 at which she organised a referral. All in less than 24 hours. Well impressed!
