I used Anima for the first time today. Put in all my details. The doctor rang me up we talked about my problem. The doctor was very understanding and caring also had time for me. Overall I was very pleased with the service.

  3. Review titled Stanground Surgery in decline

Rated 1 star out of 5

I tried to get an appointment for my wife, who has a complex medical condition is is profoundly hard of hearing, but missed out on the available appointments. I visited to surgery to try and arrange a non-urgent, but important, short physical examination via stethoscope but was told no appointments available over the next 4 days but that if I was concerned to "phone 999". Sorry, but appointment on-the-day service does not function satisfactorily. Since Lakeside took ownership, Stanground Surgery has rapidly gone into decline and it's begining to look terminal. This is a site for reviews and not specific complaints. Why does the bot reject my general observations saying I need to be specific in order to post? Unfortunately the list of specifics is longer than the allowed space but they do have a common cause.

  4. Review titled Awful practice.

This GP surgery is the definition of lazy, they never have appointments available. They ask that you either call at 8am or book on Anima at 7am. No matter how early I get to the booking stage on either platforms, the appointments have been taken? I refuse to believe that all the appointments have been taken in the time it takes me to get to the app/call the GP. When explained to the Receptionist this fact, she was downright rude and obnoxious!

Very good. Gave me information that will help me to gain more confidence and was patient and considerate. I hope he will remain at the surgery. His name was Abdullah.

  6. Review titled Room for Improvement

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am due to go for a CT scan at Papworth and the condition of my kidneys may impact on whether or not the scan can go ahead. I called at the surgery to arrange a blood test to check my kidney function. In March 2023 my kidney function was borderline. I was told a GP would need to authorise the test. On returning home I tried to use the Anima system to contact a GP to be told it wasn't taking new cases. My wife tried to use Anima this morning 15 minutes after it opened to receive the same message. I will now simply attend my appointment at Papworth and if they are unable to carry out the scan that will be a waste of my time and a waste of Papworths time. The practice needs to give some serious thought to either radically improving or withdrawing from a market they are incapable of supplying.

  7. Review titled Room to improve.

Im 70, not a confident driver anymore, and my practice for so many years has been in Stanground. When explaining to the receptionist, the sarcastic response is get a taxi or a bus……will you be subsiding this cost for me?? When getting through(I appreciate you are busy) never ever get an appointment, even well into the time frame of calling. I’m often told now that I can use the econsult, again how am I meant to use this when I’m unsure how? I do feel the welfare isn’t as it used to be, and the lack of compassion is noticeable.

  8. Review titled Great service

I had to have a diabetic assessment and I was called in on time. The lady I saw was professional, friendly and helpful. Her assessment took no time at all. No complaints about any of the appointment

  10. Review titled Disconnected and too busy

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Robin - Posted on 12 October 2023

My most recent visit for Flu jab clinic has been positive. Easy process and welcoming. However, the surgery as a whole is too busy and disconnected from providing a supportive service or for me to feel they are concerned for my well-being. They are simply too busy / not staffed sufficiently to deliver any degree of customer service. Reception staff have clearly been stretched and take too much front of house pain, to allow them to relax and be helpful. It’s an awful position to see them in.
