From the receptionists to the nurses and doctor's this surgery offers exemplary service, always met with a smile and extremely friendly professionals.

We are so lucky to have this as our surgery. They will always see you as quickly as they can, the receptionists are great (always friendly and efficiently decide how best to assist you). Every doctor I have seen has been great, plenty of empathy and quick to alley fears. So so grateful to have this as my surgery. Thank you everyone.

Following a telephone consultation my medication dose was changed. I was informed by the Dr the medication would be available to me that day. However, when attending the dispensary to collect the prescription the medicines were not available. I was given a green prescription to take to another pharmacy. This was not a good “work around” as I went to 5 pharmacies to try and access this medicine. The unavailability of this type of medicine is quite common at the moment, so have had similar experiences when doses have been changed. May I suggest that when medicines have to be ordered in, and there is going to be a delay that the dispensary staff are proactive and drop a simple text to the service user. Letting them know there is going to be a delay in this medicine and the best time to collect. Whilst the dispensary staff may argue they don’t have the time to do this, I would explain that to be explaining face to face that the medicines are not available to someone who has made a specific journey to collect their prescription is taking up valuable time as well. Go on, give it a go. It may just work!

I started using the Alconbury surgery as a boy in 1974. Rugby bruises, sprains and breaks, and more recently heart failure. Through all this and treatment from numerous GP’s, the excellent service, care and compassion has been constant. Three generations of my family have been cared for here (I am the second generation), my children the third. No hesitation in recommending the practice to anyone in need of support.

I have been with this practice since 2014 and have always received excellent care. I am an immonosupressed patient and have never had to wait long to see or speak to a Dr or Nurse...usually same day appointments if needed. Excellent and very reassuring. Covid vaccinations also handled superbly.
