    I got a call from school in the afternoon saying that my child had a rash. Even though it was after the urgent triage cut-off, they managed to get my child an appointment an hour later, which was amazing service! Thank you!

    I was concerned about my elderly mother who suffers with Alzheimer's dementia and had become unwell so I contacted the surgery using the online florey accurx service to explain my concerns. Within 90 minutes I had received a phone call from a GP who then booked a face to face appointment with another GP the same morning. The acute problem was addressed promptly and prescription sent electronically. I had also mentioned other issues that needed a district nurse assessment and the district nurse arrived the following day and arranged for the necessary equipment and onward referrals for other health professionals. The receptionist we saw was polite and efficient. I witnessed her dealing with another patient (who was just getting to grips with the online forms request for an appointment) with respect and kindness. All round excellent service Thank you.

    Quick ,great service and great staffs . Had my blood test today and it was quick and easy , it’s always difficult to get my blood drawn the nurse on duty made it quick and she was so friendly all through .

    We recentpy moved to Sheffield and registered with Upperthorpe. . The service and care i have recieved from reception,nurses, doctor and physio has been nothing short of thorough. I have felt listened to for the1st time ever at a doctors.

    I have had past health issues which resulted in medication changes quire often.the reception staff at upperthorpe medical centre have been fantastic.although frustrating for me they have dealt with all my issues and concerns professionally and been very helpful.cannot say Thank-you enough times. Thank-you again

    After waiting over 40 minutes on the phone, I was very grateful with the service provided by my GP surgery when I needed an emergency appointment for my child. A big thank you to all the staff at Upperthorpe Medical Centre.

    I stayed in the waiting list from 9am to 10.15 and somebody took the call and just hang up without saying a helo.which is not right. And I again rang and waited another 1 hour and nobody took the call. I rang for my son who was not well. Then I rang 111 from where I was told they will book an appoinment in walking centre and when i reached there they told no booking has been made. I rang gp again(thankfully attened the call after 30min waiting) and they told either I can wait in the walking centre or go to A&E ,but with elder kid in school the second option was not appropriate for us .. I also work in NHS and I know how busy . I'm not saying that i need an urgent appointment but the staff can attend the call and give an appointment later either for evening or the next day..I appreciate for what every one of us do but need to little more approachable. Please.

    Thank you for your review. I have looked into this for you. On the week you phoned we were short staffed in reception due to staff illness and at times there was a long wait on our phones. We'd like to apologise for this. I have spoken to the Reception Manager and where she was able to, she brought extra staff in to cover - its very difficult when we have unexpected absences to bring in cover at short notice but we try our best. We also think there may also have been issues on our phone system as none of our receptionists would hang up on purpose. We have now asked our phone company to do a reset of the system which they have done. We're a bit confused about the advice given by 111 as our understanding is that the walk in centre does not operate an appointment system. Patients can attend and wait to be seen there by a clinician. If you want to discuss this further with me then I would be very happy to do so - if you contact the Practice and leave your details I will phone you back. Kind Regards, Practice Manager

    Rang 3 times today, in response to text asking me to contact the surgery. I was disconnected after 1/2 hour on the first call. I rang again disconnected again when third in the queue. Third time, I waited and eventually reached a ringing tone which was answered. No one spoke and the phone was put down. This is appalling and rude in the extreme
