  2. Review titled Inadequate Booking System

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Darren - Posted on 13 December 2023

You are asked to make appointments for the same day, from 08:30, so you phone up at 08:30 and 08:31 and 08:32 only for the message to tell you the practice is closed... no phone queuing system is present. At about 08:40 through to 09:00 you try to phone repeatedly to just get an engaged tone in reply - no phone queuing system is present. At 09:02 you get through to the system and press option 1 to book appointments to be told there's now nothing left for the day and your option to see a GP at the practice is to try again tomorrow. I don't see the point of this system other than to drive patients away from the practice.

  3. Review titled Hopefully leaving this practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Contacted the GP regarding this months prescription, I was informed that my 28 day prescription should last me 56 days and I "must" be taking too much - Which if that was thought about for a second, it doesn't make sense. An honest mistake can happen, I can let that go but instead of double checking, thinking it through and then informing me of what I asked - It was assumed the computer would answer all the questions and I must be at fault, not the magic box in front of them. When a simple enquiry turns into an overwhelmingly frustrating conversation, especially regarding your health, it's time to find somewhere else to for your care.

  4. Review titled I don't recommend this practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 April 2023

Tried calling over 141 times, no answer, line busy or " queue is now full please try again later" and when you actually get through keeps ringing for over 15min and no answer from they side, this is why a&e gets a lot of pressure, because health centres like this. This is so frustrating. This is been like this for years, but somehow is getting worse to get an appointment via call or face to face. They also mention "abuse to staff " they don't tolerate that but seriously how do they expect people to not get stressed/annoyed over this? This needs to change.

  6. Review titled Rude receptionist

Rated 3 stars out of 5

When I phoned the surgery regarding a prescription the receptionist spoke to me like I was a child. I would appreciate that they speak to patients like they would like to be spoken to and not patronising please. That is the first time I have been spoken to in that way and I did not like it. Normally they are advising you about your illness, but this time she told me she didn't have any information about me and I am not psychic so I would appreciate it if your receptionist next time could be a bit more polite and treat me like an adult and not a child. Thank you Teresa Quinn

  7. Review titled I don't recommend this practice at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been with this practice for years since old building, when they changed it to this new building I thought things were gonna change, exactly the same, 8.30 am calls which line is usually busy and automatically hangs up, there's a queue system but says its full. I strongly suggest they change this 8.30am to book any appointments, people are relying on a&e because of this, whenever I managed to get an appointment is always phone call, mental health matters but there's no much help there...
