  1. Review titled Poor practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

As someone who works full time starting early hours and not finishing until after 16.00 it’s impossible to actually get an appointment. I’m unable to phone at 8.30 the 100 times it takes to get through to be told phone back tomorrow. Then if you do get appointment’s it’s always we will phone you anytime… I’m in work and can not have phone attached to my hand due to nature of my job. This practice is so worker unfriendly and the reception staff are about as useful as a chocolate fire guards. Why contact me telling me I must see GP then make it impossible to get the required appointment and treatment. Plus when you actually go into the surgery it’s empty… please actually try returning to pre pandemic working conditions and make healthcare provisions for those who work Monday to Friday 8.00 - 16.00

On ring the practice eventually got through to be asked my name which I told the receptionist to be then called a different name and I told her that was not my name with a very rude and the abrupt attitude listened to the message the files the staff being allowed to end the call a road are aggressive staff need very urgent training as this seem to be the one's with the road and aggressive attitudes to people you can never get to speak to the practice manager about this and I think it's appalling staff need a really really training also you can never pre book an appointment and have to ring in the day it's a nightmare to get through practice a manager needs to get on top of this as this surgery has a very poor rating anywhere and I would have given less than one star if I could

  3. Review titled Can't get through on phone

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Stephen Moss - Posted on 09 May 2023

Been ringing every day between 8.30 and 9:30 for last 2 weeks. Only got through twice to be told no appointments ring tomorrow. As I work in a school it's not very good walking around with your mobile phone to your ear all morning. I was asked to come back in 2 / 3 weeks ( in mid April) if no better, but can't get through to make an appointment.

  5. Review titled Poor practice

I have had a consultation conversation today and as an already vulnerable person with a life long condition it has left me extremely upset and anxious. I was not listen to at all and constantly spoken over, unable to get a word in. I was told what was going to be done rather than it being a discussion and constantly ignored when trying to explain the situation. I was then told they were not going to argue with me, if only I had had the chance! Their tone was abrupt and dismissive and I eventually had to remind them that they were being extremely aggressive. We are asked in the automated recording when phoning the practice to be respectful or they have the right to discontinue the call however I have to ask why this does not work both ways. As a patient we surely also have the right to be spoken to respectfully and deserve to be listened to. With long standing disorders it is the patient who surely knows their body and can explain changes better than what any GP might believe they know. It is as though a decision of what they want to do is made prior to any further information, if at all you are allowed to get this in. I have been with this practice for as long as I can remember and the patient experience I am enduring lately is in my opinion very poor. It is getting to the stage where I get anxious with the thought of phoning as the worry of the consultation is always in my foremind. It is becoming a constant battle to achieve any positive outcome. I really would like to hope this is shared and the patient / doctor interpersonal skills taken on board.
