  1. Review titled Terrible doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

Can never get an appt and if you do it will be weeks in future. If you’re calling for any support or a fit note you won’t get any. I don’t know why the doctor is so cruel, I’m a hard working person and to be spoke to like that was degrading and upsetting. Apparantly as I didn’t present with symptoms I couldn’t get a fit note for work, It wasn’t my choice to wait 3 weeks to be seen. this lack of fit note could affect my employment! Avoid this doctor at all costs!

Dear patient, I am sorry you have not had a positive encounter with our clinical team, I would be very happy to investigate your complaint if you could get in touch with our reception team. With regards to your comment regarding GP appts, I am surprised to hear that you couldn't get an appt within 3 weeks as we usually have routine GP appts within 3-5days unless you wanted a specific GP who may have had annual leave, I am keen to know when you booked your appt so I can investigate this further and follow up there is a staff training issue. Please get in touch so I can help. Kind regards Pam Husband Practice Manager

  2. Review titled Excellent Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Bill Cheetham - Posted on 04 April 2023

Just a short note to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at this superb and friendly surgery for all their advice and treatment over the years. Their professionalism, empathy and recent treatment of my wife Marilyn can not be faulted along with the lady consultant she was referred to at the City Hospital. We, along with our two sons have been patients at this surgery continuously since 1976 and feel privileged and fortunate that we were recommended this medical practice all those years ago. 3. Review titled 'Nurturing Nursing'

by Candice - Posted on 02 June 2022

I spoke to the receptionist to book my smear test and during the conversation I expressed concerns about my blood pressure, which I monitor at home. The receptionist listened and was very kind and she booked a double appointment for me with the nurse to have the smear test and to discuss my blood pressure concerns. When I saw the nurse a few days later, she was really nice and calming, as I was anxious, and she gave me some tips for losing some weight and increasing physical activity, which were things important to me. She also gave me a blood pressure recording sheet for 7 days. She also asked me about my caring role, which was compassionate and a question no health professional has ever asked me before. The nurse was really interested in how I was looking after myself whilst caring. I recorded my blood pressure for 7 days and dropped the results off for the nurse. The same day, I received a telephone call to say that my blood pressure was normal, and this was very reassuring. The nurse had averaged it out over a week and although it was high in the mornings, it dropped during the afternoon and evening. The receptionist and nurse at the surgery showed real person-centred care and I was listened to and not lectured....it has reduced my anxiety for future appointments.
