  1. Review titled Brilliant practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

We have found all the staff, doctors, and nurses very caring. Following up after being treated, phoning to check up on us, informing us if further treatment is needed, or reporting on previous results....can't review on a specific incident, as we are there regularly.

  2. Review titled Concerns over special needs

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Julie Cresswell - Posted on 20 February 2023

Concerned after issues with taking my son to appointments when booked in person and still upstairs when he needs 24 care and supervision and has clostophobia to use the lift as I am also now disabled and use a walking frame, today I had to lug the walker up the stairs given my body isn't up to it but better than the alternatives. Nurse would of done the bloods downstairs but reception won't let us. Also long covid nearly 3 yes but not referred to long covid website or online help which needs drs referral - my health and mental health are now such a mess, feel failed by nhs

  3. Review titled Short of the level of service expected

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I’ve had some excellent service from most of the doctors and nurses, and reception has been hit and miss from this surgery - but mostly good. I remain grateful for the service received. I can’t recall, for at least 30plus years, to a doctor being as dismissive towards me until today. I had gone to the surgery feeling upbeat and positive. According to him all the adults and children have been prescribed or asked to take vitamin D in this country, yet no-one I know amongst family, friends or colleagues do. I had been advised to discuss this with my GP by an occupational therapist but wished I hadn’t bothered. Whilst the pain in my hand and knees is very real, as is the tingling and numbness - nothing offered other than being dismissed that yes it can happen. Getting up and walking can be difficult. Again I was asked by the occupational therapist to discuss it with my Gp. Again I wished I hadn’t bothered. My experience of other surgeries when travelling abroad, has been to discuss whether jabs are up to date and if medication is required. As they’ve always said, prevention is better than cure and I’ve always been responsible in this regard. There is nothing wrong with the Gp telling me he cannot do this, though he did say a service could be provided 6 weeks before a trip. His attitude was one of ridicule and ridiculousness. Made me feel like a burden on the NHS, which I’ve contributed to for over 40 years. Even whilst at university, I’d continued to work. I was never asked when my trip was. I had no need to be spoken to with disrespect, nor did I wish to challenge his attitude as I felt I knew how it would be taken and responded to by him. If individuals or ‘experts’ in their field have difficulty with empathy or sensitivity, I pray they receive the same treatment in their own lives. This is not to be mean but in the hope they they learn how their behaviour, wittingly or unwittingly, impacts on others. This is how my visit today left me feeling!!

  4. Review titled Booking system needs changing

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Julie - Posted on 31 January 2023

They say ring up at 8am if you want a appointment you ring up 4 times from 8am only for the surgery not 2 answer,, when you finally do get through all the appointments have gone and they can't book you one for the next day as they appointments are not released until 8am in the morning which will result in the same thing happening which is ridiculous.

  5. Review titled Best practice.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Myself and my wife have been using this practice for a few years. We have never had any problems with appointments or call backs. The service is splendid, and the staff considerate and polite....and the doctors very good. Can't understand the previous negative reviews, because this practice is excellent.
