  1. Review titled GPs are fine, but almost impossible to make an appointment

    The GP I saw at this practice was fine when I previously managed to have an appointment previously, but the main problem with Bingham Health Centre (and Belvoir Health Group as a whole) is the fact it is almost impossible to make an appointment. There is no queue system for the overall Belvoir Health Group number, so when you ring at 8am, you get immediately cut off or the line is engaged (even though this is just the initial number when you should be able to choose which practice you want to contact). This morning I rang the Belvoir Health Group number 147 times before managing to be put through to join the queue for Bingham Health Centre. It was absolutely absurd and I'm sure it completely deters elderly or vulnerable patients.

  2. Review titled No chance to take the line to book an urgent appointment

    Start calling at 8am for 2 days in a row and the line is constantly busy, it does not even allow you to be put in a queue to book an urgent appointment. By the time I managed to speak to the practice all appointments were gone. Can this be improved and at least a queue for the people calling early morning be reinstated?

    I understand the reception team have a job to do but they are unhelpful and do not hear what you are saying. Trying to get an appointment is an impossible there are never any available. Many years ago it was like this and then there was a change in the Drs and reception team but now it is truly back. The village is no longer village and it is growing rapidly and the surgery hasn’t accounted for this when it was rebuilt.

    I came in to see one of the nurses and I’m an extremely anxious patient. The nurse I saw was so reassuring. Talked me through all of my results and really set my mind at ease. She really took the time to make sure I was okay before I left. Thank you.

    I have had reason to visit the practice a few times over the last few months and have found the doctors and staff to be helpful and caring in these difficult times. Again today, with more than one problem, the doctor was very thorough and reassuring.

    Being a new resident in Bingham I had had read numerous reviews about this surgery prior to moving here , unfortunately most were rating it as poor and I’m afraid to say my experience so far with this practice hasn’t differed from a lot of the poor reviews I’ve-seen regarding the appointment booking procedure Trying to get an appointment seems to be a lottery and being told to ring at 10:30 but then spending the next hour plus with the line constantly engaged is very frustrating ,also a lot of people have jobs that make it difficult to be able to sit on a phone all morning trying to get through that said my contact with the receptionist i cannot fault and they always seem to try and help and I do feel for them as they will clearly feel a lot of the frustration which is of not their doing, hopefully the management and Drs at this practice will realise the flaws with this system and look to improve things going forward as surely the current system in booking appointments cannot be right

  7. Review titled A really good job being done

    I have encountered a few problems, but one has to be tolerant and understanding. I do not always see a doctor as I would once have done, but nor do I really need to and a phone consultation is, more often than not, adequate. All in all, the staff I see and deal with at the surgery are always polite and professional even under trying circumstances, so, well done to all and thank you.

    As a new patient I have found this Practice lacking in customer care. The registration process was slow, disorganised and not at all customer-focused. I've had problems organising repeat prescriptions, discontinuity between Bingham and my previous practice, failure to alert me to the online service, and incorrect advice about essential steps. It feels as if patients are an inconvenience to Bingham Medical Centre rather than the focus and purpose of the organisation. I have been met with inflexibility and downright unhelpfulness as well as poor administrative practice. I hope things improve - this is my worst experience by far of any GP Practice, having registered with several different practices over the last 15 years in the south west, London, the Midlands and the north east as I've moved around with my job.

    The doctors don't see patients. Receptionist decide if the symptoms are life threatening. Had to wait 3 days for a go to call me, instead of seeing them. Don't they see patients anymore? Shocking service. Used to be better. Make up excuses why prescriptions are late going to chemist, after on website 2 days. Sorted yourselves out asap.
