  1. Review titled Very poor

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 April 2023

I tried for 3 days to get hold of someone to make an appointment, on the 4th day I was on hold for over an hour (I rang at 8am) only to be told I couldn't have an appointment because I didn't call early enough! (Oh and they open at 8am on a Wednesday!!) So another day passes without my prescription or being able to speak to a doctor. I would suggest that instead of blaming the patients who have waited an hour to get through to the reception team, who by the way are lovely.... Maybe they should open another phone line? Or hire another receptionist? Levels of service here are poor at best, I would recommend you look elsewhere if you have moved to the area and are looking for a new GP.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback, although I am sorry to read of the service you have received. The phone lines have been an issue since we went cloud-based, which is a switch we had had no option over. With it being cloud-based there are no ISDN phone lines and we do actually have more reception staff than we have ever had, so unfortunately this is an operational problem that I appreciate needs resolution. Believe me we are working on achieving this. As you have remained anonymous, I am unable to contact you to discuss further, but if you would like to contact the Practice Manager (jackie.rotherham@nhs.net) we would be more than happy to try to resolve any outstanding issues.

  2. Review titled Still I have heard nothing

    by colin4255 - Posted on 17 October 2022

I am currently suffering with a very painful shoulder. The pain is almost constant, and sleep is hard to come by. I managed after some time, to arrange on appointment call in late August. I told the person who called about my pain, and that in the past the doctor had given me a cortisone injection. I was advised the information would be passed on to the doctor who would deal with it. I phoned on in early September to ask what was going on and was told the doctor would get back to me. I went in to have blood test done the following week and again asked what my doctor was going to do, again I was advised they would get in touch. It's now been some time since my original appointment and still I have heard nothing. I wonder what it is I have to do to get the pain to go away?

Dear colin4255, In order to address this we need to have your name and details. If you would care to email the details to LECCG.c83085@nhs.net and put for the attention of the Practice Manager, I will look into what exactly is occurring. Kind regrads Jackie Rotherham - Managing Partner.

  3. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I took my elderly Dad for a skin tag removal from his eyelid and I could not be more impressed with the service. From the receptionist, to the Hcsw, the nurse and the Doctor, the whole experience was slick and seamless. Everyone treated my Dad (who is deaf and frail) with absolute care and respect and made the whole experience stress free! Thankyou!
